Review: BITE Beauty Lipstick

*this is not a sponsored post

As you know, I won't share product reviews on this blog unless I REALLY feel as though they are something special. Also, I won't share reviews on any product unless I've had some kind of personal experience with it, whether it be myself or feedback I have gotten from clients I've serviced over the years. In other words, I have to feel extremely confident about a product before I will share a review. Which is why I felt the desire to share this review on a brand that I feel is the absolute BOMB!

BITE Beauty

And here's why...

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COLOURS

Complete control over their pigments is key to making their rich shades – colours with bold dimension, purity and vibrancy.

THEY USE REAL INGREDIENTS

You eat what you put on your lips, so they make their products with beneficial ingredients like organic butters and nourishing oils

BITE IS MADE BY BITE

Early on, they realized that to control every step of the process, they had to make their products in-house. Each and every BITE product is made in a small batch. It allows control and the attention to detail needed when creating with real ingredients.

MEET THE FOUNDER: SUSANNE LANGMUIR...

EDGY EDIBLE INNOVATION FOR LIPS.  In 2011, Susanne launched BITE Beauty – a collection of creamy, high-pigment, moisture-rich lip products made with food-grade, antioxidant ingredients that are all good enough to eat. BITE Beauty joined the KENDO Brands in 2014. To this day, BITE products continue to be hand-crafted in downtown Toronto, Canada.

Here are several of their core products...

(A soothing, leave-on lip mask that replenishes moisture in lips)
*I have personally tried this lip mask during the winter months, when my lips become very dry and chapped, and it really works!

(A 100 percent natural, moisturizing formula that instantly preps the lips for lipstick application. Naturally nourishes lips, retains long-term color, and prevents feathering)
*Outstanding product!

*34 dimensional shades

(High-impact lipsticks handcrafted for extreme moisture, sublime texture, and incredibly creamy wear)

*19 shades

(A long-lasting, matte lip colour that delivers astonishing high pigment colour)
*18 shades

(A collection of lip crayons in timeless matte shades that provide superior hydration)

BITE Beauty's newest collection: The Multistick

Can be used on lips, cheeks and eyes - in 18 beautiful colors!

The feedback that I continually receive from women who use BITE Beauty lipsticks is that they feel so good on the lips and that the colour is long-wearing.

So if you're on the lookout for a beautiful and healthy lipstick brand, try BITE Beauty. I know you'll love them!

  1. Oh Ron, last year one of my girlfriends turned me on the Bite lipstick and I instantly fell in love with them. As you know I'm a product junkie, so I like to experiment with different products to see which ones work best for me. And you're right, Bite is the BOMB! I've tried the Agave lip mask and thought it was amazing. I use it as a lip treatment, but also sometimes use it as a gloss when I don't feel like wearing lipstick.

I tried practically every lipstick formula they make, with the exception of the Multisticks, which I want to try soon. I knew about the Lip Lab in Soho, but haven't been there yet. They next time I go back, I'll have to go because it sounds so cool!

Thanks so much for sharing this review, Ron! I always enjoy reading them. Have a wonderful week X

  2. What a great product review, Ron! And I can tell you feel really passionate an confident about it. I'm quite the naturalist, so I think this would be an ideal brand for me to look into. My skin seems to be sensitive to so many things, I tend to go for more organically made products. I think I saw a Sephora in a mall not far from where I work, so I'll check this brand out the next time I'm there. Thank you!

  3. You've sold it to me, Ron... there's only one problem: I don't live in your country. I have reported before on the problems I have with lips and no matter what I tried nothing could solve them. Dryness and soreness is a major factor in my life which leads to me not wearing lipstick at all. How sad is that? The nearest I have come to lip comfort is a hemp product sold by The Body Shop, it gives me comfort but no colour! Perhaps at my age I shouldn't be bothering.

  4. I've not heard of this brand, but I will now be on the look out for it at Sephora. It is hard to find creamy lipstick as well as any lip product that doesn't taste artificial and weird.

I always enjoy your reviews, Ron, so THANKS! Enjoy your week!

  5. Hola Denise!

So glad to read that you've tried BITE and love it, isn't it an AWESOME product line? I first tried the lip mask last winter when my lips get very dry and chapped, and I found that it worked wonders!

I'm going to NYC tomorrow and plan on stopping by the lip lab in Soho. I'm also going to try and take some pictures so I can share them here. I can't wait!

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your feedback on BITE, I really appreciate it! Have a grrrrreat week, girl!

  6. Hey there Candice!

I absolutely LOVE this product line, so I wanted to share about it.

"I'm quite the naturalist, so I think this would be an ideal brand for me. My skin seems to be sensitive to so many things, I tend to go for more organically made products. "

If your skin is sensitive and you tend to do better with more natural/organic products, I think you will really like BITE. Check it out :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a super week!

  7. Ron, your product reviews are the BOMB!! You offer tempting reasons to try something (like this line's use of natural ingredients), and you back them up with proof (either because it's something you tried or something others you know have tried). Thank you!

I haven't tried any Bite products, but they sound outstanding, and I'll have to check them out. Some of those colors look lovely, and you can practically see the moisture in them.

Hope you didn't encounter any angry mobs over the Black Friday shopping days. Happy week to you! xx

  9. Hello there Valerie!

It's funny because Sephora is a European company (from France) yet, there are none in the UK. Supposedly, I heard that they may be adding Sephora to the UK this coming year.

Here is a link to a UK website that carries BITE Beauty. https://www.rosesbeautystore.com/pages/search-results-page?q=bite+beauty

I LOVE the Body Shop! We have one here in Philadelphia. They have such great products!

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a super week!

    X to you and Charlie!

  12. Helloooo there Debbie!

Aw...thank you for your sweet, kind and supportive words :) If I ever discover a product that I think is faaaaaaaabulous, I enjoy putting these review posts together. But I have to really believe in a product before doing so.

"I haven't tried any Bite products, but they sound outstanding, and I'll have to check them out. Some of those colors look lovely, and you can practically see the moisture in them."

What's really nice about these products (besides that they are organic and health) is the colour selection. They have something for every woman, natural to bold. It's currently my favorite lipstick line to suggestion to customers.

No, Black Friday was rather boring. Philadelphia city stores don't usually have much foot traffic on Black Friday because the people who live here drive out to the suburb malls where they can shop a lot of stores in one place and get sales. Are stores usually do better after Black Friday.

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Happy week to you too!

  13. Ron, I will definitely pass this post on to my girlfriend because she loves this kind of stuff. Our bathroom looks like a department store because she has so many makeup, skin care and hair products LOL!

No kidding, this product line looks really awesome! I like the shape of the lipstick pencils. Great colors too!

    Nice review, dude. Thanks!

  14. Hiya Matt!

Thank you! If your girlfriend likes beauty products, I think she'll really enjoy these! In fact, she may already know about them.

Don't you love the shape of the lipstick crayons? And they don't ever need sharpening because you just have to roll them up from inside the tube.

Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a most awesome week!

What delicious lipsticks! I don't wear lipstick.. but if I did - these would be the ones I'd choose.

  16. Thanks for the link, Ron. I see they do a lip plumping oil - I could sure use some of that. I have saved the link for future use. First I have to decide on what shade I would like. Will keep you posted!

  17. Aren't they delicious-looking, Fiona? The colours are sooooooo beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a splendid week!

  21. OK now I need to go to Sephora. I went to Ulta and tried over 20 lipsticks...my lips were raw after... and I couldn't find a good one that would stay on that was a good color. I need something probably with a bit of coral... that I can wear to work and not look like I should be walking on the streets. :) Not too much red... bronze works good too... but I just couldn't find what I wanted. Now I know what to look for. Yeaaaa!!!!! How funny that I just went through this whole ordeal and you posted this. Seems to work every time with us! :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. OMG, Katherine that is so ironic!!! And it's even more ironic you mentioned "I went to Ulta and tried over 20 lipsticks...my lips were raw after..." because whenever I'm helping a customer select the perfect lip shade (which is like my FAVORITE thing to do), I will always give them a lip balm to put on their lips between each lipstick application so that their lips don't get red and raw.

The next time you're in a Sephora, check out BITE Beauty because they have so many great colors - natural to deep to bright - and they are also very good for your lips.

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a great weekend. And Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

  23. Hey Ron! I simply adore your product reviews!! You have me sold on the brand already...although I had never heard of it before!! I am going to try the lip mask...I have an AWFUL time with dry lips AND skin!! I went to a makeover session at a spa locally and they used Laura Mercier products on me and my body had a freakin' VIOLENT reaction to their products!! I was all RED and ITCHY! It was just plain creepy! I have never been back. I have to be really careful what I use as I am allergic to so many different things. Thank you for telling me about this brand...I will definitely look in to the lip balm! Have a FAB time in the city and I cannot wait to see your pics!! I LOVE your views of life!! xo Jeanne and the girlz!

  24. Hey there Jeanne!

I am so sorry to hear about your reaction to Laura Mercier products because that's a very longstanding and favorite product line for so many women. However, that doesn't mean that people (such as yourself) can't have an allergy to it. There must be an ingredient in her product line that your skin reacts to. So stay away from it.

If your skin is sensitive, you may find BITE Beauty a good option. Try the lip balm to see how your skin reacts before trying anything else.

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a GRAND rest of your week and weekend!

X to you and the girlz

P.S. I had a great time in the city. I'll be posting photographs soon!

    Enjoy! And Happy Belated Birthday!
