I can still remember the bottle sitting on my father's dresser, next to a box of peppermint Chicklets and a pack of Salem cigarettes. Yes, isn't is funny how you can still find it in drug stores? I still see the deodorant stick as well.

"I tend to migrate to floral's like, J'dore from Dior, Daisy and Gucci Flora."

I know those fragrances very well. Love Daisy by Marc Jacobs! And used to work for Chanel, so I know Coco too. Rich, spicy and dark. Loved it.

I found that video on You Tube, isn't it hilarious?

OMG...yesterday I thought I was going to melt on the pavement, it was SOOOOOOOOOOO hot. With the 60% humidity, they said it felt like 103 degrees, and it DID! Today is not too bad. I saw that this weekend it goes down into the 70's. THANK GOD!

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a fantastic weekend. Mine did too! Wow, I can't believe it was launched as early as 1937? And I still see it in Walgreens or CVS. My husband doesn't wear the cologne, but he does used Old Spice deodorant.

Fragrance is such a powerful thing because it holds a lot of memories. And wearing a certain fragrance is so personal. I tend to migrate to floral's like, J'dore from Dior, Daisy and Gucci Flora. Back in my younger days I wore spicy fragrances like Obsession and Coco. Like you said, I spell those now and think, how the hell did I ever wear those because they are so strong?

Loved the video, Ron! Brings back a lot of memories! X

Hasn't this heat been horrible? I see that this weekend it's suppose to cool off. Don't tell anyone this, but I also worn (for a brief time in the 70's) Love's Baby Soft because I love the scent of baby powder!! I too love the scent of fresh-cut grass and wore a fragrance YEARS ago from The Gap called, GRASS. It was faaaaaaabulous! They also made a candle with the same scent.

Oh, and OPIUM.....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that scent! So spicy and sexy. A good friend of mine from Florida used to wear Anais Anais, Lovely scent!

And speaking of Chanel No. 19, I used work Chanel as a makeup artist for about 6 years and 19 was a big favorite of mine. Did you know that 19 was actually created and worn by Coco Chanel herself? She was born on August 19th, so she had that fragrance created for her and allowed it to do public once she died. But up until then, SHE was the only one who wore it. Great scent!

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing you fragrance likes! How fun!

Have a great rest of your week, my friend!
XRonhttp://www.triloquist.net/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7092603952139807812.post-57619094718660352492018-09-06T10:15:42.660-04:002018-09-06T10:15:42.660-04:00My Dad wore Old Spice, too! It takes me back. And ...My Dad wore Old Spice, too! It takes me back. And Lord, I remember the Musk days in the late 70's. When I was in high school, Love's Baby Soft was a thing. Now I find that creepy. My very first perfume I got in 7th grade - it was a compact with four waxy perfumes in scents of fresh-cut grass, hay, and two other similar ones. Man, I loved that stuff. I wish they still made it because it was a very natural smell I really liked. In college, I had a bottle of Yves Saint Laurent's Opium and a bottle of Anaรฏs Anaรฏs. Two very different perfumes! Oh, and also I wore Chanel No. 19 for a while. And now? I have used Neutrogena Sesame Oil instead of perfume for years and years. I adore the scent of it.

Fun post, my friend - stirred up a lot of memories!Secret Agent Womanhttp://biredux.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7092603952139807812.post-89433059126500759712018-09-06T08:50:06.250-04:002018-09-06T08:50:06.250-04:00"Or maybe just "tripping" since the..."Or maybe just "tripping" since the majority of these must be worn in an altered state of mind."

Bwhahahahahaha! I too carry around either a roller ball size or a small spray size in my backpack so that I can reapply during the day. Fragrance is all about how it makes you feel." That's exactly how I feel about wearing my perfume. I wear it every day. And I even carry a roller ball size of it in my purse so that I can touch up during the day. I switch off my fragrance according to the season. Right now I'm wearing the original Chloe because it's not too heavy, but still contains my favorite notes.

I laughed out loud at my desk this morning when I read about what the nuns said to you in Catholic school. And the part about your girlfriend you took to the prom. Dear god you are so damn funny!

I used to have a boyfriend who wore the most horrible cologne. One day when we were shopping in the mall, I took him over to the men's fragrance section and picked him out a new one. I mean, if I have to smell him, I want to like what he's wearing, right? We both liked one of the scents from Burberry. Now whenever I smell it, I think of him. :(

Great post, Ron!Denisenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7092603952139807812.post-79476386382955467992018-09-04T12:14:47.636-04:002018-09-04T12:14:47.636-04:00Ron, I had no idea that your work involved the gro...Ron, I had no idea that your work involved the grooming industry. Wow, you are one interesting guy who's worn many different career hats. You could write a book!

I laughed at so many parts of this post, you are hilarious! I love fragrance too. And it's funny that you worked for Bulgari because I used to wear one of their fragrances, BLV, which they no longer make. I got so many compliments anytime I wore it.

Loved the video LOL!Candicenoreply@blogger.com
