It was her symbol and it has remained that to me, since she left this earth. Here's a poem I think you might like to read:

http://mypoeticpath.wordpress.com/2008/03/13/butterfly/
Your parents both sound like amazing, supportive people. You were truly blessed to share your life with them. And yes, they ARE still with us, I have no doubts about this. I've interacted with spirits many times in very real ways. I know all about the sense of their presence in our lives on this side. Not always actually seeing them as they were, but tangible all the same. They never leave Ron. Your parents are smiling down reading this post and sending their love. Love is the only thing that really endures forever.
Thank you for this sad but beautiful read this morning. When I went back and read that post over the weekend, I recalled exactly how I felt when I wrote it. Time doe...I can't believe it's been a year! Time does pass by so quickly. That's so beautiful that you felt your parents presence in the park and that you have such wonderful memories of them from your childhood.

I think I may have mentioned to you my disappointment in the fact that I never get "visited" by my parents, even though I moved into their house. A few days ago, I went out to the garage to get something and I have some boxes out there and summer yard stuff that I need to store in the basement for the winter. Well, in the middle of the garage floor was my father's watch. Just sitting on the ground! I was sure it was in my jewelry box. I said, "Hi, Dad" and have been wearing it ever since.

Then last night, I was sitting in the family room watching TV when I felt a strong cigarette smell. You know my mother smoked like a chimney. So I said, "Hi, Mom" and a few minutes later, it disappeared. I'll take them both as a sign!

We all felt like we knew your mother from your posts about her. I hope it somehow eased your grief to know so many people care. I know it helped me.

Have a great week. Keep smiling and remembering. xoxoChrissy Starrhttp://www.ishouldabeenastripper.com/noreply@blogger.com
