We interrupt our normally scheduled Friday blog post to share this informative message...
Hi folks!
On Wednesday afternoon, I had to have emergency oral surgery performed on a nasty tooth abscess.
And can I just tell you something?
It was not the least bit enjoyable.
However, I think it will make for a great blog post next week.
That is, once I can begin forgetting how painful it was to have an abscess drained under a LOCAL anesthetic.
(and that was MY choice, not the oral surgeons)
Yet, I’m please to report that I’m healing well and feeling soooooooo much better than I did on Wednesday.
Between the horrendously uncomfortable heat we’ve been experiencing, and my recent surgery, I’ve not had a very good five days.
In fact, I would even go so far as to call myself a BITCH WITCH this week.
I feel like I’ve been living in the burning flames of hell, while experiencing a Stephen Kings version of The Tooth Fairy.
So, I’ve decided to take this weekend off from blogging to spend quiet time, resting and relaxing at home while continuing to care for myself.
I’ve also rented a few newly released movies that I’ve been wanting to watch, but haven't had the time.
Please know that I’m doing well, so no worries.
And I’ll be back on Monday.....

My dearest and darling Ron....my good friend I am so sorry you had to experience pain in the oral region...one you know I am quite familiar with. I may ask you in private the details of your surgery and why you needed to pull but we will save that for later. Every night when I listen to brian Williams tell the news and how hot it is in your part of the country I think of my poor Ron and how much he (and I) hate the heat. Here in LA we have had unusually cool weather...in the 70's and breezy. Kind of weird for this time of year. I do hope you are doing better and I hope your oral surgeon gave you plenty of Vicodin. I will write you in private about my ordeal but hang in there you will be much better in a few days!
ReplyDeleteGlad it's over and DONE with, Ron!! Those things are NEVER enjoyable.. UGHHH!!! Sorry to hear that you're not up to par this week but hopefully, next week will be better-- Here's to a quick recovery and LOVE Alfalfa!!! Have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteDear Ron,
ReplyDeleteIn your case, I understand a little bitch-witching! Just get better dear pal. Big big big hugs from Paris!

Aw Ron I'm sorry you've had such a bitch of a week. I'm sending you oodles of Reiki, you just rest and suck it all in. xxxx
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. I have to say, I am soooo glad that I ate hours before I read this post. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're on the mend soon! I hate teeth problems. But I love that Little Rascals pic! Enjoy your movies and have a pain free cooler weekend watching your movies and relaxing (dang, does that mean you can't eat Twizzlers because of the abcess?). Maybe next week you can upgrade from the Bitch Witch to one or the other. Make up your mind, ok? Sheeeesh! Or maybe you can just go the other way and be QUEEN
ReplyDeleteBitch Witch?

Owie - sounds miserable. Curling up with movies for the weekend sounds like a great way to deal with it.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, now I want a reason for a weekend of rest and relaxation. I'd prefer to skip out on pain, though. Is "I have a headache" a good excuse for ignoring children, or just bedmates?
Goooood Morning Everyone!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your funny comments and sweet concern.
You da' BOMB!
X.
There is nothing worse than tooth pain, IMO. NOTHING! Poor baby! (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteHave a good relaxing weekend. Drink some wine, don't eat popcorn and rest!
Owie! tooth ache definitely= bitch witch. Poor Ron! Get better soon, and enjoy your movies! Eat ice cream too, it is clinically proven to cure cases of Bitchwitchness. And when eaten after oral surgery it is 98% fat free. =)

Aw Ron, that doens't sound like much fun at all. I hope that the rain we had here, was felt in your area as well and cooled things off for you. Ice cream and wine are definitely in order I would think. You have every right to be a bitch witch, so glory in it my friend.
ReplyDeleteKatherine
OK Buddy just sit back, relax, and get to feeling better, I see you have Dr Susie on standby so I feel better now knowing you are in good hands.
