Hello folks!
I just wanted to let you ladies and gents know that I will be taking the next seven days off from blogging because I’ve got an official training coming up for my new job at the beginning of next week, which will last several days, so I need to focus my time and energy on work-related stuff right now.
I am very much enjoying this new position and have been welcomed aboard by the rest of the staff with open arms and excitement. Everyone there is very happy for me, which makes me happy as well.
For the past week, I’ve been learning lots of new procedures and responsibilities and absorbing them like a sponge. I love to learn, so it's gotten my brain cells all active and bouncing around like ping pong balls.
I will also be using this week for some R&R and getting together with a few friends who I haven't seen in awhile because everyone has been so busy over the summer.
I leave you with six photographs I took (a few of which you may have already seen) with some inspirational quotes I found online, which I overlaid. These are words I find to be very true, so I wanted to share them with you...
Have a super weekend and week everyone!
I'll see ya next Friday!
X
All the captions are brilliant, Ron, and they match the pictures perfectly. You sound so happy about your new position and especially the learning side of it. Good luck with it, and have a happy week xx
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that you are enjoying the new job and learning so much! Hey, if I can take an 8 month break, you're certainly entitled to a week. ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the training, the R&R, and time with friends. Sounds like a busy, and rewarding, week.
All the photos (eh, okay, I don't love billboards) are great and the quotes totally go. They are easy enough to understand, but sometimes so hard to actually do! Right?! LOL
Ron, I (we) will miss you for a week, but understand. You sound very happy and excited about your new job! The best to you in your training next week.
ReplyDeleteLove the photographs and captions. "If you stumble, make it part of the dance" is my favorite one! But also love Elmo. So cute!
See you next Friday. Have wonderful week, Ron x
"But in the second photo it looks like somebody stuck a Chore Boy on top of Lucy's head because there is way too much orange/coppery color in her hair."
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA! You are so right about that, Benze. That's exactly what it looks like. Perfect description!
"There are some times when a black & white photo is more stunning than a color photo though. Most often in a portrait."
Yes, such as the portraits by Richard Avedon.
Hey, Ron, enjoy your time off! You've certainly earned it! I'm so glad you're enjoying the new gig. Best of luck in this new venture!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks so much for leaving us with these beautiful quotes and photos. They really are quite inspirational and they're just the kind of thing an old sourpuss like me needs to brighten up!
Take care, buddy, have a great time, and I'll "see" you soon!
Ron, have a great week off and the very best with your job training. Glad to hear you'll also be allotting time for some R & R, you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome quotes! They match the photographs impeccably. You have always inspired me in many ways but mainly because of your outlook on seeing things in a positive light. That last photo is so cool!
See you next week, dude.
I hope you have a fabulous training week!
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteErr...I mean...enjoy your time off, my friend. You might call this a real-life case of "Philadelphia Freedom."
See what I did there?
Have a wonderful week, my friend! These quotes really hit home as I am struggling right now at my employment. I don't feel I am benefiting them or myself. I'm awash in negativity that is eating at me. So....Nothing happens until the pain of remaining the same outweighs the pain of change....yes. Exactly where I am and neither feels good, but I know it will all be okay. You are an inspiration! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh Ronnie breaks are the most heart breaking for me! I look in my email every blogging day for my lovely words from you! But distance makes the heart grow fonder- right? Anyways I loved the pictures you left us with especially the one that says "you are a work in progress' really speaks to where I am in my life.
ReplyDeleteRon, in as much as you will missed for the next week, I understand your taking a break to focus your attention on your new gig. Hope the training goes well and I'm glad that you'll also be spending time catching up friends and taking time for yourself to relax.
ReplyDeleteAs always, your photographs are beautiful and the quotes are truly inspiring. Loved the second one especially. I read it a few times.
Have a great week off and I look forward to your return.
Hola Denise!
ReplyDeleteThank you, girl :) I'm looking forward my official training next week.
"If you stumble, make it part of the dance" is my favorite one!"
Isn't that a FABULOUS quote? I tried a few different ways of overlaying the words onto the photograph and finally decided on this one.
" But also love Elmo. So cute!"
Isn't he ADORABLE? He was sitting in a toy store window that is not far from where I live. I just had to get a picture of him.
Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome week. See ya next Friday!

Hey there Rob!
ReplyDeleteThank you, buddy :) I decided to take this next week to focus on my new job and to also meet up with a few friends for dinner and play catch up.
Glad you enjoyed the quotes. They inspired me so much that I wanted to share them. They really hit home for me and some of the challenges I've gone through the past couple of months.
Have a FAB week and thanks so much for stopping by. See ya next Friday!

Hiya Matt!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
Yup, I'm also spending this week to just chill in the evenings and watch some movies and meet up with a few friends for dinner to catch up.
"That last photo is so cool!"
That photograph is of a grate I spotted on one of the sidewalks. I loved the color!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words. Have a most excellent week and I'll see ya next Friday!

Thank you, Suzi :)
ReplyDeleteHave a FAB week and I'll see ya next Friday, my friend!

ReplyDeleteSee what I did there?"
Bwhahahahahaha! Mark, you crack me the hell up. That was brilliant!!!!
Have a terrific week and thanks for stopping by, buddy. I'll see ya next Friday!
X to you and Tara!
Thank you, Angelia :)

You said it....ALL we be okay!
And I chose these quotes specifically because of a challenge I went through over the summer. And I ironically, like you, it had to do with my place of employment and getting another job. So keep the faith, my friend. It will all be okay!
Have a super week and I'll see ya next Friday!

Aw, Shae, you're such a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet words, my friend :)
" especially the one that says "you are a work in progress' really speaks to where I am in my life."
Yup, we are all a work in progress. And that's something I forget at times.
Have a FAB week and I'll see ya next Friday!

Hey ho Robert!
ReplyDeleteThank you, buddy :) This next week will be a mixture of work related things, plus catching up with a few friends for dinner. I'm looking forward to it.
Isn't that second quote FAB? Yes, I read it few times myself because it really hit home with the changes I've been through over the summer.
Have a super week and I'll see ya next Friday!

Oh geeze.....they made me teary, but in a good way. I'm so pleased for you, tossing yourself into the deep end of the pool and swimming. Proud, actually. Pretty sure your mom is, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the sunflower, and the quote about making a stumble part of the dance.
I need to absorb all the wisdom you have here. And just celebrate for you.
I think we should have cake and balloons and confetti and noise makers and BUBBLES!!! :-)
"Pretty sure your mom is, too."
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mel. And it's ironic you mentioned my mom because one of my dear friends here in Philly told me that when I shared with her about the 'dragonfly' visiting me over the summer, thought that it was a sign sent from my mother that everything would work out. And I think she was right about that.
"and the quote about making a stumble part of the dance."
Yup...I love that quote too! Isn't it awesome? Make the stumbles part of the DANCE.
"I think we should have cake and balloons and confetti and noise makers and BUBBLES!!! :-)"
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay....BUBBLES!!! Thank you so much for your support, encouragement and love.
Have a FAB week and I'll see ya next Friday!

GOOD for you, Ron. Sad for me because I'll miss your sunny presence, but you're right to take a break, especially to focus on your new duties and catch up with friends!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the new job is working out for you. You're right, you know -- learning something new is vital to keeping our brains healthy!
Love the quotes you found (and the photos). I can't pick out a favorite because they ALL ring true.
Happy week, my friend, and we'll be right here when you return!
Sometimes you just gotta make time for your RL friends too! I really like the brick wall graphic. And congrats again on the new position - so glad it is working out just the way you wanted it to.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, thought about whether you started your new job, Ron. Wishing you happiness and success! :))
ReplyDeleteThank you, Petra! :)
ReplyDeleteI was employed in this new position about two weeks ago, however, they officially announced it earlier this week. Next week, I go through my training.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have great weekend and I'll see ya next Friday!
X
Thank you, Grace :)
ReplyDeleteEverything is official now, I got the job about two weeks ago, but it was officially announced earlier this week. Next week is my training. Can't wait!
" I really like the brick wall graphic."

Hello there Debbie!
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend :)
This weekend and next week will be a time of learning a lot of new things about my new job, so I wanted to take the next week off to focus all my time and energy on that. Plus, it was the perfect opportunity to meet up with a few friends and catch up because we've all been busy over the summer.
Glad you enjoyed the quotes. They really hit home for me and found them to be true, so I wanted to share them with you all.
Have a great rest of your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by. I'll see ya next Friday!

ReplyDeleteHello there Jeanne!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the pictorial quotes, my friend :)
"It is NUTS how busy things have been lately! Hoping for a few R&R days myself!"
Yes, this past summer and few weeks have busy for so many people. I am so looking forward to fall and cooler weather. This past week has been unusually warm and humid, however today we got a break and it feels so good!
Hope you get some R&R as well.

you're such a balanced guy, ron. i want to be like you. enjoy your time off, time with your friends and training.
ReplyDeleteHey there Val!
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know about being "balanced" because sometimes I feel so UN-balanced - HA!
However, with so much going on with my new job (and the training) I thought it would be good to take a little break from blogging to focus on my work, get together with a few friends, and also take time for some R & R.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by, girl. Have a faaaaaaaabulous week and I'll see ya on Friday!

I like those.

Have a wonderful time!!!!! I am so proud of what you are doing. I especially love the first one... both the picture and the wisdom. Something I need to remember often!
ReplyDeleteHey there Katherine!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)

Me as well, which is why I think it hit home.

Boy do I need to remember and re-read the quotes if I forget, which I do. Work in progress that I am, I need to hang on to the joys of today as things unfold.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why I'm ignoring the 2" of snow they got at my vacation destination and thinking warm thoughts. *laughing* I mighta intended that pun.
Take care. Hope the week away brought you awesome things.
*waving*
ReplyDeleteHelloooooooo Mel!!!!!!
"Boy do I need to remember and re-read the quotes if I forget, which I do. Work in progress that I am, I need to hang on to the joys of today as things unfold."
Me as well, dear lady, me as well. Which is why I placed them on this blog so that I can go back and remember - HA!
"Which is why I'm ignoring the 2" of snow they got at my vacation destination and thinking warm thoughts. *laughing* I mighta intended that pun."
