Charlotte Love |
Every so often while surfing the Internet, I will come across a special talent and feel the need to share it.
Such as it was when I discovered Charlotte Love and her brilliantly designed faces; many of which are created by using food. Charlotte lives in the UK (London) and is an interior stylist and set designer.
It blows me away when I see such clever work because I always wonder HOW someone came up with the idea. And I can't even imagine how much time and effort it took to create these pieces of art. Needless to say, Charlotte is an endless source of talent.
And what I love about these creations are not only the faces, but Charlotte’s use of color. Upon looking at them for the first time, they put a huge smile on my face and made me feel bright and happy.
So without further ado, I give you the talent of Charlotte Love and her many faces.
Please enjoy!
Didn't I tell you she was BRILLIANT?
Have a delightful weekend everyone!

You're right - she is a genius! Her faces brought a smile to my face. I especially like that baked bean beard!
ReplyDeleteHey there Fiona!

" I especially like that baked bean beard!"
HA! Isn't she clever? I love the last one with the avocado face mask!!
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a fantabulous weekend!

The cauliflower hair is too funny. Ron, I can't think of the name for this, but have you ever seen where people will use food to make a different food item? For example, it looks like a pizza, but it is actually cake ingredients? Those creations blow me away.
ReplyDeleteOMG how fantastic. I love all the faces, particularly the cauliflower ears and baked bean beard. I see she is from my country yet I haven't heard of her before, is she on television or something? I will go in search of more information but in the meantime thank you for sharing these pictures. I LOVED them.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, my friend, and I hope your weekend is a good one.
Oh Ron, these are so cute! Love the cauliflower hair, the ice cream roll and the cucumber and avocado mask. Yes, she's brilliant! I don't have an account on Instagram but am always over there because many of my friends do, so I'll check out more of Charlotte's work. Thank you for sharing her talent!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Ron x

Hey, Ron, these images are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteShe has such a talent for creating these very expressive faces out of the things people like to eat. This is the kind of artwork my late mother would absolutely love!
I'm so glad you did this post because I never heard of her before. And now all this food is making me hungry!
Have a scrumptious weekend, buddy!
I'd never heard of Charlotte Love so thank you for sharing her food faces and others. Her art brought a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteWow, Ron, you've done it again! Bringing attention to Charlotte's talent is such an unselfish, loving thing -- thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love the little mushroom bear -- and the gal with the swirling cake roll hair!
Have a wonderful weekend, dear!
I'll never look at cauliflower the same way again. Or Ho-Hos, for that matter.
ReplyDelete(Or are they Ding-Dongs? I never remember the difference).
In any case, these are all very colorful, and look delicious, to boot. Have a great weekend!
Fabuloso talent discovery, Ron! You're right, she is so original. Love the one of cauliflower and the cake roll hair. But the one of Frida Kahlo is sheer brilliance because it looks like her! Did you ever see the movie with Selma Hayek? Incredible film!
ReplyDeleteI'll check her our on Instagram this weekend. Thanks!
Hey there Rob!

Okay, here's a weird thing about me - I have an oddly low creep-me-out threshold. And there is something about these that fall into that category. I can see that they are clever, but I still find myself cringing just a little when I look at them. I know, that's not normal.
ReplyDelete" I can see that they are clever, but I still find myself cringing just a little when I look at them. I know, that's not normal."
ReplyDeleteYour feeling about these is probably like my own when it comes to pictures of clowns because they creep me out as well, so I can understand.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Hope you're having a terrific weekend!

Ron, I stopped back to let you know that I viewed Charlotte's Instagram page today and loved it! You're right, she's got some GREATS pieces there.
ReplyDeleteDenise, glad to hear you viewed Charlotte's Instagram page this weekend and enjoyed it. Isn't she talented?
ReplyDeleteAwww....love the bear with the mushroom ears....and the little Suzi cake roll hair is amazing. Took me a bit to figure that one out. The colour with the baked bean beard made me smile.
ReplyDeleteMy kinda gal ... I'll use her as an example the next time Mr. Crabby Buckets nags me about playing withy food.LOL. I'm creating artwork dontchaknow. :-/
Absolutely LOVE this Ron!! I am now following her on Instagram...and I agree with you...how do these folks come up with these ideas?? Whatever did we do before the internet?? Thanks for the recommendation! On a side note, I keep getting warnings from Avast that there is malware on this page...perhaps some of these new pics? Not sure...Happy Sunday my friend! Get out there and enjoy!! xo Jeanne
ReplyDeleteHiya Mel!
ReplyDelete".and the little Suzi cake roll hair is amazing. Took me a bit to figure that one out."
I know, I couldn't tell if it was cake roll or an ice cream roll. And then Mark said something about it being a Ho-Ho or a Ding-Dong. Whatever it is, it's faaaaabulous!
"My kinda gal ... I'll use her as an example the next time Mr. Crabby Buckets nags me about playing withy food.LOL. I'm creating artwork dontchaknow. :-/"

Hellooooooo there Jeanne!
ReplyDeleteAren't these so creative and original?
" I am now following her on Instagram..."
I wish I had an Instagram account because I'd follow her too!
"On a side note, I keep getting warnings from Avast that there is malware on this page...perhaps some of these new pics?"
I received your comment response on your last post via Disqus, saying that you thought it might have something to do with Chrome. I have that same thing happen to me sometimes because I use Chrome as well. It will also sometimes block a website so that I can't view it. Chrome has been doing strange things lately.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Happy Sunday!

Looking back through, the only one that doesn't trigger me here is the bear, so that must be exactly it, Ron. The "clown" category for me is very broad - it also includes mimes, puppets and most dolls. :o
ReplyDeleteVery clever, not dissimilar to the work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, given a modern twist, as discussed in this post from a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeletehttp://diaryofaninternetnobody.com/2015/02/18/the-changing-face-of-horror/
WOW those are really good! I haven't heard of her before, thanks for introducing me. x

Hey there Dale!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree...very similar to his work, with a modern twist. I think the gal is brilliantly clever!
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Hope your weekend was great!

The cornflake girl looks like me now. WAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut wow such cool art! I could stick my own face in the guacamole face lady... and use the cucumbers for dipping.
How wonderful that you are showing a talent you have discovered. Artistic people don't always get the recognition they deserve and to have someone point your talent out? That is a GIFT and you are awesome for doing it!
"The cornflake girl looks like me now. WAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"
ReplyDeleteOMG...you are so funny, Katherine! As I shared in my comment on your post, your new haircut looks faaaaaabulous!
" I could stick my own face in the guacamole face lady... and use the cucumbers for dipping."
HA! Isn't that the most clever picture? I think that's my favorite of the bunch.
I was honored to share the talent of Charlotte on blog because whenever I discover a special talent, I want to share it with everyone!
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a great week!
