Helloooo there everyone! I know, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Great to see you again!

Boy oh boy…I have a lot to share with you about my two and a half month hiatus from blogging, changes I've decided to make on my blog and how I blog, and also something that recently happened to me about three weeks ago that was extremely serious and quite scary; through which I learned some very valuable things. I guess you could say that because of this occurrence, it altered my perception about life on so many levels. I feel more humbled, more appreciative, and more aware.

But rather than share extensively on all these things within one blog post, I've decided to spread them over a period of several weeks, as not to overwhelm you with posts that are too long.

Also, I am happy to say that I made a reconnection with my creative muse. I know that much of this has to do with the experience that happened to me three weeks ago, but I also believe it has to do with the change of season because autumn seems to magically make me feel rejuvenated, renewed, and creatively titillated.

Last week I took out my camera (which had not been used in months) and decided to get snapping. And I couldn't have picked a more perfect week because the leaves on the trees in the parks were just starting to make their boastfully colorful transformation.

Please enjoy my favorite season in all its splendor.

Autumn...

Have a faaaaaaaaabulous Monday y'all!

  1. Welcome back, my friend. Seeing your blog in action has made my day because Blogland loses it's sparkle when favourite bloggers go missing. Of course, I am curious about whatever it was happened to you but I will be patient and await news when the time is right for you to blog about it. As long as you are okay I can be patient, too.

'creatively titillated' ... what a fabulous expression. I know what you mean though. The other day I stood in the garden and admired the new colour scheme, although mine didn't have such variation of colour as the leaves shown in your pictures. Isn't autumn a fabulous time? I remember the feeling of excitement when everything seemed to change and anticipation was rife. That was when I was younger, not quite so much now.

    Have a good day x

  3. Welcome back, Ron!!!! Oh, but… a happening that was serious and scary??? You're here, so you must have gotten thru the worst of it. {{HUG}} And now the skill of the actor shows… leaving us all with a cliff hanger! hehe xo
My fav season too, as you know. Enjoying your wonderful photos! The colors are so beautiful this time of year. Can't believe it's November though.

  5. Hey, Ron, welcome back, buddy! So glad to hear from you. The internets have been awful quiet without you!

It sound like you've been through some tough times and I can't wait to hear what all has been going on. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy these fabulous photos you posted!

Take care and once again, welcome back!

  6. Ron, I LOVE your fall photos -- each one is simply breath-taking! Much of our fall color has faded to brown now, in preparation for winter. How delightful that I get to experience this beauty all over again, thanks to you!

I think the pictures of the holly just might be my favorite! I love those cheery red berries and the delicate white blossoms. We have holly in our yard, and the birds seem to appreciate having something to snack on!

Welcome back, my friend -- you've been missed. You've piqued my concern over what happened three weeks ago (wasn't that about the time of your birthday -- hope it was happy, by the way!).

  8. Love the leaves. But I love the fact that you are back and blogging again even more. Don't keep us in the dark too long - I bet most of us are dying to know the reason for your extended absence.

  9. Happy to see you back Ron! Hope you are doing well? You have me slightly concerned with your vague hints at some type of calamity 3 weeks ago? I also love autumn!

  10. These are just beautiful Ron! I adore Fall and it hasn't got to Fla yet (still in the 90's here!) but November is finally turning the tide of trouble October sent my way. Can't wait to read what happened to you!

  11. Hello there Valerie! Thank you, it feels soooo good to be back blogging again. Last night, right before I posted this, I thought, "God...it feels so awesome to hit the "publish" button again!"

I will be posting updates throughout the next couple of weeks; which will lead up to what happened to me three weeks ago. And yes, I am totally okay and doing well.

"he other day I stood in the garden and admired the new colour scheme, although mine didn't have such variation of colour as the leaves shown in your pictures. Isn't autumn a fabulous time?"

Yes, it sure is! It's my favorite season of all :)

  12. Aw...thank you so much, Jeanne! I missed you guys too and it feels so GREAT to be back blogging again after being gone for so long. And I'm so glad I regained my creative muse because I've missed it.

The leaves this year have been brighter and more vibrant than past years, here in Philly. So I wanted to get outside and capture them with my camera. And yes, we've had some windy days here as well, so the leaves are falling quickly.

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend! Have a super week!!!!!

X to you and the girlz

HA! You're right, the cliff hanger must have come from the "actor" in me. And yes, I got through the worst of it and am doing very well. As I shared, as scary and serious as is was, I learned a lot of good things from it.

I know, can you BELIEVE it's November already?

Thanks a bunch for stopping by, neighbor! Have a super week!

  15. Helloooooo there Rob! Thank you! It feels so great to be back blogging again after being gone for so long. It felt so wonderful to hit the "publish" button last night after I finished this post. It almost felt like the first time I wrote and published my very first blog post waaaaaaaaaaay back in 2006!

Yes, it was a bit of a tough and scary time three weeks ago. However, in the grander scheme of things, I could sense that it was something I needed to learn from it. It was a BIG life lesson.

Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a faaaaaaabulous week!

  16. Hey there Debbie! Thank you :) I felt very fortunate to pick a day when the leaves where so vibrant. This year the leaves were much brighter than past years.

"I think the pictures of the holly just might be my favorite! I love those cheery red berries and the delicate white blossoms. We have holly in our yard, and the birds seem to appreciate having something to snack on!"

I spotted that holly in a small park, not far from where I live. And I was so utterly delighted to discover it. It put a huge smile on my face.

And yes, it was right after my birthday that this happened to me. It was on the 14th of October. My birthday was on the 2nd. As I shared, it was challenging and scary, but I learned a lot from it.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by, my friend! Have a super-duper week!

  20. Hellooooo there Laurel! OMG..what great treat to see your comment. Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend!

I know, I spoke to my brother last week and he said that it was exceptionally HOT in Florida this time of the year. Actually, it was very warm here a few days ago too. It hit 80 degrees and the humidity was high as well. Thankfully though, yesterday brought us cooler temps and fall-like weather. This year has been so strange weather-wise.

I will be posting about what happened to me soon.

    Have a super week!

  25. hey ron. i was wondering what happened to you. in the midst of me and my issues, i realized i hadn't been getting any blog updates from you. i called, i sent a postcard, i email. i asked kathy today where you were and shortly thereafter i got your blog post. OMG are we broken up?

anyhoo, glad to see you are posting again and i hope things are much better for you. love the pics, as always.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey there Val! (((((( You ))))) No, my friend...we are not broken up. Not at all. It's just that I've not been blogging, socializing or online much over the summer, so I've been very quiet. I will be explaining my absence and why I took a break and also what happened to me three weeks ago on my blog soon, so that you will all understand.

And yes, things are soooooooo much better for me now. I'm also feeling more inspired and creative; therefore, I've started to blog again after being gone for two and a half months.

Thanks so much for stopping by, girl. Hope all is well with you and that you have a fantabulous week! Also, you, Kathy, Meleah, and I should try to get together sometime this fall before the insanity of the holidays hit. I would love meet up with you ladies!

  37. First, my apologies for not getting over to your place sooner. Life just moves at warp speed! Second, these Autumn captures are truly inspiring. Love all of them. Kudos to you AND your muse. ;-) I was not able to get out and get much taken this year. And, lastly, I'm very glad you are back and am quite curious about this "event" that has made such an impact....since I know all about those! You were definitely missed.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey there Lisa!

No apologies needed, my friend. Trust me, after what I've been through over the summer and the "event" that transpired last month, I TOTALLY understand about how life moves at warp speed and things happen that take priority over blogging.

And I LOVED your Autumn photo captures this year, they were stunning!

I will posting about what happened to me sometime this week, so stay turned.

Have a great rest of your week and thanks a bunch for stopping by!
