Just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking a blogging break for about 2-3 weeks. I won't be posting during that time, however, I will still try to stop by your blogs if time permits.

Good News! I was offered a new job earlier this month and will be starting my training this week. Once that's over, I'll be out and about doing my job in various retail stores. The job is perfect for me because it involves education and training, which I LOVE doing. I will be working for a company who hires professional beauty brand educators to go into stores and train, educate, and get everyone excited about each brand. This is something I used to do several years ago, so I have a history in it.

I saw this job listed on an employment website back in December and thought, "Hey...why not apply and see what happens?" And lo and behold, after two Zoom interviews, they hired me. I feel extremely blessed because this job pays a very generous hourly salary, more than I've ever been paid in this industry. It's a part-time position, which is what I was looking for. It does involve some regional train travel to stores outside of Center City, Philadelphia, which is not a problem because I have a free train pass. The farthest I will have to travel will be about 30 minutes on the train, which is no biggie. Besides, I actually love train travel.

The reason I'm taking a blogging break is because this a new adventure for me in which I want to give 100% of my attention. I also want to get a "sense of rhythm" about the job, so I'll know what day would be good for me to start posting again.

I have a feeling there is going to be changes in my life for 2022, which I am looking forward to because I am so ready for change. Therefore, I want to leave myself open to any and all possibilities that present themselves to me.

Anyway folks....💗

  2. Thanks so much for your well wishes, dear friend! This job sort of came out of the blue because I was browsing an employment website one day and saw the position listed, and something told to to apply, just for the hell of it. When they contacted me for a Zoom interview, I had forgotten I had even applied.

"I would welcome employment that takes me to different locations. It keeps things fresh, plus you get to meet new people."

  7. Ron, first I want to say congratulations on your new position! Isn't it something how very often when we take a chance by following our gut to do something, it works out? Kudos to you for doing that because most people are afraid to take a chance.

I too feel like 2022 is going to be a year of change for me. I can just feel it.

All the best to you, Ron. And we'll see you when you return!

  10. Thank you so much, D! I am really excited about this position and feel blessed to have landed it. Something told me to apply and see what happens, so I did. And yes, I was very, very happy about the salary because many places are not that generous.

"It's also nice that you will be doing s bit of travel and using the train means no worries about driving, parking, etc. and a free train pass is even a better bonus!"

Yup....that's exactly what I thought, using the train means no driving or parking. I live close to the station too, so it won't take me long to get there when I need to used the train.

Yes, I'm due for a break anyway. I usually like to take one once a year, but haven't done so in many years. Breaks are good because they refresh you.

Thanks again for your supportive and encouraging words, D! See ya soon!

  12. Thanks, Daniel!

Yes, it is something how often when we follow our gut/intuition it seems to lead us in a positive direction. That's why I like to to leave myself open to things because you never know where something can lead you.

"I too feel like 2022 is going to be a year of change for me. I can just feel it."

You too? That's AWESOME! And I bet you WILL have change this year. I think a lot people are feeling that this year after such a challenging two years. We need a change.
