Hi folks!
Just wanted to let ya'll know I’ll be taking this week off from blogging.
I’ve got a lot of stuff going on at work with special events, therefore will be working more hours.
I will miss you ladies and gents, thinking of you and hoping you’re all having a faaaaaaabulous week!

we'll definitely be waiting for your return next week! do remember to take extra care of yourself during this busy week that you are going to have. we can't have you sick at the end of it can we. hopefully you'll have an enjoyable one as replacement next week!

ReplyDeleteAs always Ron, blogging takes a back seat to real life for all of us. Don't work yourself too hard, and don't spend all that extra money either.
You know, according to moi, the mark of a genius (in whatever field) is that they do what they do extremely well, but make it look effortless - and that's what Fred Astaire did, didn't he? Such grace, fluidity, flair, expertise and joie de vivre and he looks as if he's taking a stroll in the park!
ReplyDeleteThere are singers like that too - Roy Orbison was one, which was only truly apparent when you saw him perform - and actors (you know who), and artists, athletes .. even animal trainers. Thanks for the clip! I enjoyed it. :)

I LOVE Fred Astaire! I am lucky that I had an older Dad. I missed off in horseplay and ball games but, he gave me an appreciation for the oldies; Jimmy Stewart,the Marx Bros, Laurel & Hardy,Fred Astaire and many more.

I soooooooo agree! No one can hold a candle to him. Did you know that Michael Jackson idolized Fred and there's actually a video he made where he tap danced in honor of Mr. Astair? Michael Jackson was quite the tap dancer himself.

OMG....I freakin' LOVE how you said that because it's soooooooooo true!
The mark of any genius is that they make it look effortless, and Fred most definitely did that! The amazing thing about this dance number is that it was shot with a minimal amount of 'cuts', so he bascially danced it from beginning to end!
