Today, I thought I’d brighten your Monday morning by sharing a bit of ‘eye candy’ whilst sipping your coffee or tea, and eating your toast.
Being a Libra, I can’t help but contain the one characteristic that prevails my astrological sign…
…we enjoy looking at pretty things.
And one of those things is physical beauty.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not someone who is ONLY attracted to what someone looks like. On first glance I‘ve seen many attractive individuals, however after actually getting to know them they somehow became very unattractive. You know what I mean?
Yet, I can’t help but be completely honest and say that my eyes definitely check out someone who I feel is initially attractive.
Like, say, someone I may see on the street who makes my head turn; getting a severe case of whiplash.
Oh come on….we’ve ALL done that, haven’t we?
I realize, that what I find attractive may not necessarily be what someone else sees as attractive because we’re all different.
As I’ve posted in the past, my physical type is very eclectic. I’ve been attracted to and dated tall, short, lightweight, heavyweight, and all nationalities and cultures.
I have no static type because let’s face it….our tastes change as we change.
What I thought was attractive back when I was in my late 20’s and early 30’s, is nothing like what I’m attracted to now.
Also, it’s not only what someone looks like, it’s more about the ‘whole package.’ The ‘aura’ they exude.
The only thing that often remains the same for my attraction, is that I prefer someone who is ‘seasoned’ in their looks.
Kinda like a bottle of wine. The older they get, the better they taste.
*pun intended
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been attracted to age. When I was younger, I loved hanging out with the grown-ups because most kids my age bored me to tears - both physically and intellectually. Overall, I found older people more attractive.
Age to me, whether it be male or female, is sexy. And not only on a physical level, but there is often a certain quiet confidence and contentment that comes with age, a surrender, which I also find sexy.
So, here are some people who in my eyes, are sexy eye candy….

oh ronnie, you're not fooling me with that OOPS...you wanted to put him first but i like your order of prettiness, at least in the men....women i don't really see at all the same way, but rather judge my sex a different way, mostly according to age...i prefer older as well and always have and you have a fine choice here...ohlala shall we say? xoxoxoxo and have a good week, my dear.
ReplyDeletehahaha! you totally lighten up my monday by having me imagining you on the street with your head turning here n there looking at beautiful people. wink. i totally agree with your statement on how our taste change according to growth. i used to love looking at people with baby face, but not any more. now i tend to find them looking too similar to one another. hah! we love to sit around looking at people, especially crowded places. then we started commenting on Everyone! it always make the outing fun. :p
ReplyDeleteI think we have the same taste in men and women Ron. Thanks for the eye candy today. Have you ever fancied the pants off a character in a book? Am I strange in that respect? I've just started reading John Sandford books and am totally besotted with Virgil Flowers, one of the characters :0
ReplyDeleteOMIGOSH. That last one... just.... damn.
ReplyDeleteAnd I keep scrolling up again as I write this comment. Delish.
I know what I want for lunch today...
Happy Monday, Ron!
XOXO
Oh my gosh, I LOVE the changes your made to your blog! SO glad to see Ed Harris made your list. I LOVE LOVE LOVE him. Those soulful eyes...Did you see him in Pollack? He's such a brilliant actor.
ReplyDeleteAnd David Beckham is fabulous as long as doesn't open his mouth.
Happy Monday!
Wow, you sure opened my eyes this morning, however don't don't how much I can get accomplished after viewing that last one!
ReplyDeleteHey, Ron, great post! All this fabulous candy and no calories! "On first glance I‘ve seen many attractive individuals, however after actually getting to know them they somehow became very unattractive." Oh, I know that one very well indeed. Take care!
ReplyDeleteOoooh it's eye popping time. Good afternoon, Ron. It's funny how age changes our perspective. Funny, but good. Aside from looking jealously at the youngsters who can carry off the latest fashons, I find myself leaning towards (pun intended) the older male. If only I could find a Clive Owen lookalike. Julianne Moore is okay, I guess, but my main feeling would be to scratch her eyes out. How dare she look like that when I look the way I do... grins. I only recently discovered that D Beckham had heavily tattooed arms, they must always have been covered by sleeves whenever I've seen him. I think he's a bit of all right but preferably without the tattoos. Out of your collection of beautifies I like Javier Bardem but Ed Harris turned my stomach. Something about the eyes Coooooorrrrrr! Thank you. Happy bunny's off now, I've another blog to read. Enjoy your Monday.
ReplyDeleteCandy for breakfast - now we're talking. Oh Ron, you know that David Beckman is only like around 36 yrs young. Surely that doesn't meet your definition of mature, so please, leave him out of this. HE'S MINE.
ReplyDeleteThe man I "objectify" the most in Hollywood is Mark Wahlberg (shirtless, of course). And, if you can put the 'aura' of Kevin James in Mark's body, that would do it for me.
BTW, by the end of this post I was humming the 50 Cent Candy Shop song. Thanks a lot, Ron. :-)
Hi Ronnie,
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to you!
Great celebrity gallery!!
Now, we wouldn't be honest if we didn't admit that every lets their eyes roam a bit. Mine were moving as I looked at these peeps. And yes, Beckham looks pretty hot!
The person that we are becoming( I say that because identity always evolves) needs and wants different candy at 20 than at 50.
I remember at 14 or 15 even doing a "list" of how I wanted my perfect man to be! Now, how naive can that be?! As you so beautifully said:
"it’s not only what someone looks like, it’s more about the ‘whole package.’ The ‘aura’ they exude".
Beauty is not all and can be deceiving.
But, what is in your heart can't lie.
xoxo
Good Morning Dear Linda~
ReplyDelete" you're not fooling me with that OOPS...you wanted to put him first...."
Bwhahahahahahahahaha! Touche'!
" i like your order of prettiness, at least in the men....women i don't really see at all the same way, but rather judge my sex a different way..."
Totally understand and respect your opinion. That's why I shared that everyone's idea of what's attactive is different. That's what makes the world go round!
Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady! Have a wonderful week!

Greetings Levian~
ReplyDelete"you totally lighten up my monday by having me imagining you on the street with your head turning here n there looking at beautiful people. wink."
Tee, hee!
" i totally agree with your statement on how our taste change according to growth. i used to love looking at people with baby face, but not any more. now i tend to find them looking too similar to one another."
Me too. Now I tend to like a more rugged face. I'm very attracted to a face with lines, wrinkles, salt and pepper hair. There's something I find very sexy about an aged face. It's like a map to the journey they've lived!
Thank you for stopping by, my friend. Hope you're having a super Monday. Enjoy your week!

Good Morning Akelamalu~
ReplyDelete"I think we have the same taste in men and women Ron. Thanks for the eye candy today."
You're so welcome. And glad to hear we have the same taste. Ooo lala!
" Have you ever fancied the pants off a character in a book? Am I strange in that respect? I've just started reading John Sandford books and am totally besotted with Virgil Flowers, one of the characters.'
Yes, I have!!!! And it's so funny you mentioned that because I read somewhere that women tend to more 'read' oriented, where as men tend to me more 'visual.' However, I have been attracted to a character in book too. I think it's because I can 'imagine' them to be how "I" see them.
Thanks so much for stopping by dear, and for adding your thoughts to this post!
Have a wonderful week!

Glad you enjoyed the eye candy!
Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Happy Monday to ya!

Hey Chrissy~
ReplyDeleteThank you. I changed the template a few weeks ago and then finally got my own domain name last week - yahooooooooo!
"SO glad to see Ed Harris made your list. I LOVE LOVE LOVE him. Those soulful eyes...Did you see him in Pollack? He's such a brilliant actor."
Yaaaaaaay....another Ed Harris fan! Yup....love, love, love him. Those soulful eyes and rugged face! Yes, I did see him in Pollack and thought he was AMAZING! Great movie. I also loved Marcia Gay Harden in the film too. She's another one I find attractive as well as talented.
"And David Beckham is fabulous as long as doesn't open his mouth."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA!
Thank so much for stopping by, girl! Hope all is well and that you enjoyed your weekend.
((((( Chrissy )))))
Have a super week.....X
Good Morning SuziCate~
ReplyDelete"Wow, you sure opened my eyes this morning, however don't don't how much I can get accomplished after viewing that last one!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Honestly, he's not really one of my main attractions, however I couldn't resist throwing him in there for a SHOCKER!
Thanks for stopping by, my friend! Have a great week!

Hey Rob~
ReplyDelete" All this fabulous candy and no calories! "
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAA! Touche'....touche'!
Yeah...it's fat-free!
""On first glance I‘ve seen many attractive individuals, however after actually getting to know them they somehow became very unattractive." Oh, I know that one very well indeed."
Isn't it something how sometimes after you get to know someone for awhile, what you found attractive on a physical level kinda goes by the wayside?
Always great seeing ya, buddy. Thanks for stopping by. Have a GREAT week!

Of the men on your list... if Javier Bardem is good enough for Penelope Cruz, he's good enough for me! Yum.
ReplyDeleteI've ALWAYS loved Susan Sarandon, she definitely has that X factor. And Anne Archer too!
Is this to be a new feature on your blog? Another blogger that I read for awhile used to do it regularly and I think she took requests. LOL
This is fun, I just might do it myself!!
Hello Valerie~
ReplyDelete"It's funny how age changes our perspective. Funny, but good."
Exactly. And that pertains to sooooooo many areas in our lives. I truly love getting older because what comes with age is an 'understanding.'
"It's funny how age changes our perspective. Funny, but good."
OMG...isn't he MUFFIN???? LOVE his rugged face.
"Julianne Moore is okay, I guess, but my main feeling would be to scratch her eyes out. How dare she look like that when I look the way I do..."
Bwhahahahahahahahahaha! That totally CRACKED ME UP!
The thing I love about Julianne Moore is that she's like a 'blank canvas' which can be painted into various roles. She can play any time period in a movie because her looks are timeless. I've really grown to respect and admire her work over the years.
". I only recently discovered that D Beckham had heavily tattooed arms, they must always have been covered by sleeves whenever I've seen him. I think he's a bit of all right but preferably without the tattoos."
Actually, he's not one of my favs either. I perfer older, but I couldn't resist throwing him in here for SHOCK value - HA!
" Out of your collection of beautifies I like Javier Bardem but Ed Harris turned my stomach."
I only just discovered Javier Bardem last year when I saw the movie Eat, Love and Pray. He threw me through a loop! Ed Harris I like because of his rugged looks, however I totally understand that we're all not attracted to the same things.
Thanks oodles for stopping by, dear lady. Always a delight! Enjoy your Monday and week!

Hey Tracy~
ReplyDelete"Candy for breakfast - now we're talking."
Yeah, breakfast never tasted so good! HAHHAHAHAAHAHAHHA!
"Oh Ron, you know that David Beckman is only like around 36 yrs young. Surely that doesn't meet your definition of mature, so please, leave him out of this. HE'S MINE."
Bwhahahahahahahahaha! Okay, you can have him, girl! I'll take Clive Owens, okay?
"The man I "objectify" the most in Hollywood is Mark Wahlberg (shirtless, of course). And, if you can put the 'aura' of Kevin James in Mark's body, that would do it for me."
Yes, I have to admit that as Mark Wahlberg gets older, I'm finding him very sexy.
"BTW, by the end of this post I was humming the 50 Cent Candy Shop song. Thanks a lot, Ron. :-)"
Bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha! CRACKED. ME. UP.!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by, girl! I adore your sense of humor, truly!
Have a great week!

Ok.
ReplyDeletethis is truly starting to scare me.
1. how much did i used to love those candy buttons?!?!!? tons!
2. I too, have been very eclectic in my dating. and although I do like darker, exotic types with crazy hair, I am attracted to many types.
3. So glad you didn't put CLooney on that list. Cus hello, he just gets too much attention =P
4. I agree on all accounts, except Ed Harris and Susan. I don't know why, I've never liked them.
5. But seriously Clive Owen. OMG. and Javier, give me a break. Did you see Vicky Christina Barcelona??? If not, you MUST
xoxo
Hey there Barbara~
ReplyDelete"Now, we wouldn't be honest if we didn't admit that every lets their eyes roam a bit. Mine were moving as I looked at these peeps. And yes, Beckham looks pretty hot."
HA! You go, girl! And thanks for being honest!
"The person that we are becoming( I say that because identity always evolves) needs and wants different candy at 20 than at 50.
I remember at 14 or 15 even doing a "list" of how I wanted my perfect man to be! Now, how naive can that be?!"
Yes, I think we ALL did that when we were younger, I know I did. And it just goes to show that what we 'think' we want is forever changing. I've gotten to the point in my life where I've stopped imagining WHO I'm suppose to be with because it always surprises me what life has instore for me. Something much better than I imagined!
"Beauty is not all and can be deceiving.
But, what is in your heart can't lie."
Brilliantly shared, my friend. Brava!
Thanks for stopping by and adding your thoughts to this post. You've added much!
Have a great week!
X to you and D!
Hey Crystal Chick~
ReplyDelete"Of the men on your list... if Javier Bardem is good enough for Penelope Cruz, he's good enough for me! Yum."
Yum...you said it, girl! I only just discovered that he and Penelope Crux (who I also think is sexy) were together. They make a gorgeous couple, don't they?
"I've ALWAYS loved Susan Sarandon, she definitely has that X factor. And Anne Archer too!'
So glad to hear you feel the same way. They are two lovely ladies who are not just sexy, but also VERY talented and smart.
"Is this to be a new feature on your blog? Another blogger that I read for awhile used to do it regularly and I think she took requests. LOL
This is fun, I just might do it myself!!"
No, I actually didn't plan this to be, I just suddenly got the idea for this post yesterday while I was out walking around the city. However, now that you mentioned it, I may just post it once a month. Great idea, thanks!
And thanks for stopping by, my friend. Always enjoy our conversations.
Have a great week!

P.S. are you ready for this HOT, HOT weather we're getting this week? 105 on Thursday - UGH!
Hey Blunt~
ReplyDelete"Ok.
this is truly starting to scare me."
Hey...this must be WHY we're BESTIES, hu?
1. aren't candy buttons a blast? I use eat them all the time when I was a kid!
2. I do perfer darker too. I like light skin and dark hair and eyes, both in men and women. Something about dark against the light that makes me SWOON! Escpecially Italian's!
3. No, I've never been a George Clooney fan, myself. I know that A LOT of women adore his look, but he's never really done anything for me.
4. That's okay, we're all attracted to different things.
5. Aren't Clive and Javier MUFFIN'S? Clive is the new visual model for Bvlgari's latest men's fragrance...Bvlgari Man...and he's perfect! I had to google Vicky Christina Barcelona to find out what you were talking about, but when I did I almost died. I LOVE Woody Allen films. See...we are besties! I will definitely check it out. Thanks for letting me know!
And thanks for stopping by, girl. Have a super week!
XOXO
Hi Ronnie! Sorry I have been away no internet in the new apartment so I need to do a bit more scheduling to start blogging again consistently! Love the eye candy post :) I agree with what someone else said I do judge women differently than men when it comes to this but I can definitely appreciate an attractive woman and Julianne Moore is a good choice :)
ReplyDeleteEye candy alright! Such a sweet serving. David... yeah yeah. Vic does it for me as well. I admit.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise my list would be... Enrique Inglesias, Christy Turligton, Anne Hathaway, Jude Law... oh and of course Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer.
Thank you ever so for your encouraging words Ron!
Hey cestlavie22~
ReplyDeleteOMG...it's so GREAT to see you! I was wondering where you've been. I keep checking my google reader to see if you had posted.
" I have been away no internet in the new apartment so I need to do a bit more scheduling to start blogging again consistently!"
Hey, it's great to hear about your new apartment. Hope you're enjoying it!
" I agree with what someone else said I do judge women differently than men when it comes to this but I can definitely appreciate an attractive woman and Julianne Moore is a good choice."
Totally understand and respect your views. And isn't Julianne Moore stunning? LOVE HER!!!!!!
Thanks sooooo much for stopping by and letting me know you're still around. I look forward to your future posts!
Have a great week!

HA! Are they YUMMY?????
"David... yeah yeah. Vic does it for me as well. I admit."
You GO, girl!!!!
"Otherwise my list would be... Enrique Inglesias, Christy Turligton, Anne Hathaway, Jude Law... oh and of course Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer."
I agree on MANY of your choices. I adore Anne Hathaway! In fact, I just recently saw her in the movie, Love Hurts. She was wonderful. And to me, Christy Turlington just keeps getting prettier with age.
Thanks so much for stopping by, beautiful lady. Loved your latest post!
Have a wonderful week!
Ciao....X
Ron I am having trouble putting in a post
ReplyDeleteDave
Ron, I so enjoyed this post! You had me laughing at your head turning on the street - whiplash - tee, hee!
ReplyDeleteI too am more attracted to people with age on them. I've always been more to attracted to older people in general.
Yes, to Clive Owens and Javier Bardem. Yummy! And I think Julianne Moore and Anne Archer are such beautifully classy-looking ladies.
Hey Dave~
ReplyDeleteDo you mean a post or leaving a comment?
You can email me and I can try to help you out, okay? I sometimes have the same trouble putting in a post.
If you mean leaving a comment, it may be something to do with Blogger. You know how blogger is sometimes - UGH :(
Anyway....thanks for stopping by buddy. Have a great week!

fjsd tlijsoihn lhsodhe lhih lnlkkl e kjid lnwjnls slfh,..!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry... I lost my sense of speech for a second after that last picture. I got all tongue tied and flibberjahooied... DAMN!! That is one good lokking man.
I happen to agree with your whole list. Add to it Shemar Moore, Lauren Bacall, Sophia Lauren, Salma Hayek, Sean Connery, my husband... oops.... yes, I meant to include him. Ain't he a hunk and a half too? :-)
I used to think that Priscilla Presley was gorgeous until she ruined herself with that plastic surgery! I enjoy eye cand and physical beauty. When my kids tell me I'm too old I tell them I'm old, not DEAD and there's nothing in the world wrong with looking and appreciating the beauty that God put before us!
Hope you are having a "beautiful" week!
Hey Peg~

HAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was HILARIOUS! Yeah, it's David Beckham who is from Australia. Sports person, model, fragrance creator, he does a lot of things. The photo is 'scratch and sniff' so feel free - Bwhahahahahahhahahah!
Yes, I agree on ALL your added choices to this list of eye candy. I was actually going to use Salma Hayek, but I had so many already. I may add her to the next time I post about this.
"I used to think that Priscilla Presley was gorgeous until she ruined herself with that plastic surgery.'
THANK. YOU.!!!! She use to be gorgeous, I agree. Even as she got older. But, somehow that plastic surgery gets way out of hand with some people because they don't know when to stop.
"When my kids tell me I'm too old I tell them I'm old, not DEAD and there's nothing in the world wrong with looking and appreciating the beauty that God put before us!"
*applause*
You tell em', Peg! Like wine....you just keep getting better with age!

"What I thought was attractive back when I was in my late 20’s and early 30’s, is nothing like what I’m attracted to now."
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately for me, I am still attracted to the same things now as I was back then, which means the women I like tend to be younger while I (hopefully) age gracefully. It's okay now, but man, when I'm in my sixties I'm soooo going to be the old pervert on the block, I just know it.
Great pics...Anne Archer I never considered, but if that cigar isn't a phallic symbol, I don't know what is. Nicely done!
Give me the mature look over youth any day!
ReplyDeleteNow here's the funny thing. When I was a teenager through my twenties, I always mixed with older people. I also found people my own age less interesting. Most people I hung around with were in their thirties, some even their forties. The interesting part is that as I got older my circle of friends stayed the same age. I am now in my sixties and so don't have anything in common with most people of my own age. Both Mo and I have always got along with young people and young people seem to get along with us too.
I think I was born 35 years old, and stayed there. It's just a pity my body didn't :)
Hola Denise~
ReplyDeleteYeah, that whiplash will get me everytime!
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
Yaaaaaay...it's great to hear someone else finds age attactive! To me, it's sexy - woot! woot!
I only recently discovered Javier Bardem, but Clive Owens I've been following a while now. And aren't Julianne Moore and Anne Archer the BOMB? I wish Anne Archer would do more, because I don't see her much in film. Julianne Moore is so beautiful because she's like a chameleon, she can morph into any character.
Thanks for stopping by today, girl. Hope you have a faaaabulous week!
X
Mark, Mark, Mark....your comments KILL ME!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete" It's okay now, but man, when I'm in my sixties I'm soooo going to be the old pervert on the block, I just know it."
Bwhahahahahahahahaahahahahaha! OMG...that made me HOWL! At least you're honest about it!!!
You and I (Libra's and Tarus's) are ruled by the planet Venus, which makes us very attracted to pretty things. Am I right?
"Anne Archer I never considered, but if that cigar isn't a phallic symbol, I don't know what is."
Bwhahahahahahahahahaha!
And funny you mentioned the cigar because I actually think that makes the photo very sexy-looking!
Isn't she a beautiful lady? I first discovered her in the movie Fatal Attraction.
Thanks for stopping by, buddy. And thanks for the laughs!
Have a super week!

"What I thought was attractive back when I was in my late 20’s and early 30’s, is nothing like what I’m attracted to now." -- agreed! Also my husband is 25 years older than I am so I definitely appreciate "seasoning."

That is soooooo interesting and ironic because even though I'm not attracted to younger people, now that I'm 55 years old, younger people seem to be attracted to me, so I know what you mean!
We must be YOUNG at heart - HA!
Thank you for stopping by, dear lady! Always great to see ya. Hope you had a great Monday and week!

OMG...it's WendyB!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by and saying Hi! I just left Susu a comment on her blog and said that I LOVE your jewelry. Honestly, it's brilliant! So nice to hear that you two met.
"Also my husband is 25 years older than I am so I definitely appreciate "seasoning."
You GO, girl! Like fine wine....it gets better, doesn't it? HA!
Give me a "seasoned' face anyday!
Hope all is well and that you're enjoying your summer! Again, thank you for stopping by!
Have a super week!

Yep, I think we're all the same. That initial beauty (which differs for every one of us) is the draw, then you get to know the person. I'll tell ya, when I first met my wife I thought that she was so beautiful that I was *sure* she wouldn't want to waste her time with me. Heh... So glad I was wrong!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Herman~
ReplyDelete"That initial beauty (which differs for every one of us) is the draw, then you get to know the person."
Exactly! And sometimes it 'clicks' and other times it doesn't.
"I'll tell ya, when I first met my wife I thought that she was so beautiful that I was *sure* she wouldn't want to waste her time with me. Heh... So glad I was wrong!"
Oh come on....BOTH you guys make a GREAT-looking couple!
And just look at what a handsome son you created.
Tyler!
Thanks for stopping by, buddy! Hope you had a great Monday. Enjoy the rest of your week!
X to you and the family!
mmm hmmm, yes and Praise Almighty Jesus! Well I've got some semi-deep thoughts on this one too, but don't think it's such a good idea to blab-blab-blab like I did last time. I will add that one of my observations about maturity is the fact that one feels more aligned with one's true self. That's real. That's awesome. That's sexy. Thank you, as always for your thought provoking insight on the rocks, with a twist :) xoxo Diane
ReplyDeleteYup. I'm back again. I wanted Tuesday eye candy as well!
ReplyDeleteJust... Damn...
My husband and I often talk about what makes a person 'attractive' and how people's opinions vary so greatly. I never thought I had a type because, like you, my taste has changed over the past four decades! I went from David & Shawn Cassidy to Johnny Depp & Colin Farrel.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the eye candy this morning! It was quite enjoyable with my coffee!
susan sarandon - omg! I have such a crush on her and we've already taked about Anne Archer
ReplyDeleteas for the boys, Clive Owen's big ole sad eyes are so sexy
my tastes change all the time when it comes to physical traits but you're right about the aura
I know an aura I want when I feel it :)
Hey Ron
ReplyDeleteI mean with leaving a comment. It has locked me out quite a few times
Hey Dave~
ReplyDelete"I mean with leaving a comment. It has locked me out quite a few times."
Yes....that's been happening to A LOT of us who are using Blogger. One of my readers found a way to get around it. In fact, TWO of my readers had problems logging in to make a comment for SEVERAL weeks. So far, I haven't had that problem, however I've had other ones - UGH!

100% agree!!!!

I know an aura I want when I feel it."
Yup...me too. I 'know' an aura when I FEEL it.
Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady! Glad to see we have similar tastes in eye candy - HA!
Have a great week!

ReplyDelete"I never thought I had a type because, like you, my taste has changed over the past four decades!"
Meeeeeeeee too! I feel like a kid in a candy store - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!
"I went from David & Shawn Cassidy to Johnny Depp & Colin Farrel."
OMG....I use to have a poster of David Cassidy in my room when I was a kid, I swear! I LOVED watching The Partridge Family! And yes to both Johnny Depp and Colin Farrel - agree! And Johnny gets better with age!
Thanks for stopping by, dear lady. And thanks for sharing! Have a great week!

Hey Diane~
ReplyDelete"mmm hmmm, yes and Praise Almighty Jesus!"
Bwhahahahahahahahahahaha! OMG...that made me HOWL!
"I will add that one of my observations about maturity is the fact that one feels more aligned with one's true self. That's real. That's awesome. That's sexy."
You said it, girl! "The fact that one feels more aligned with one's true self." I couldn't have said it any better! And yes, it's definately sexy because there comes a relaxed state of 'being.'
As always, I love reading your comments. Thank you for sharing - muchly enjoyed!
Have a great week!
X to you and Cristybella!
Oh yes. You have certainly picked some FABULOUS eye candy!
ReplyDeleteHey Meleah~
ReplyDelete"You have certainly picked some FABULOUS eye candy!"
Tee, hee!
Thank you, fellow-Libra!

...Oh, Susan Sarandon, love her! She is the epitome of aging gracefully. Also, I was surprised not to see Diane Keaton or George Clooney on your list... And lordy, David Beckham! *fanning self* ;o)
ReplyDelete...Yeah, as much as we preach "don't judge a book by its cover", we do. I think it's just part of human nature. We have eyes and with seeing we know beauty when we see it but I love it when at first you don't see beauty but with time it blossoms in front of you. There's something about that that is reassuring to me...I dunno why.
...I know one thing as I have gotten older is that I don't like mean people. To me, that is ugly in its most purest form. I know one time my husband and I went to a get-together and there was this woman there that was just drop dead gorgeous but then I heard her talk and that was the end to her beauty. She was a bigot, a racist, she spewed hatred; it was disgusting to listen to her. My husband became friends with this woman's husband and once in awhile we get invited to their home and to this day I have never gone. I couldn't stand to be around her for just that one evening and the thought of hearing her speak again makes me cringe. :o\
...Love eye candy! Great post Ron!
...Have a wonderful rest of the week!
...Blessings :o)
I had no idea David Beckham was so divine! YUM!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't mean to put that in? Ha! Liar, liar, pants on fire!! Oh .. uh ... perhaps a little too apposite, that expression, huh? *Snigger*
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - as a fellow Libran with an eye for beauty, I also favour the older, more lived in type of face. OH would be with you, too, particularly on Susan Sarandon, an all-time favourite of his. She IS sexy, and one reason that she is, is because she doesn't try to look unreasonably young. Her face is the face of a woman her age - a beautiful, sexy woman her age - and not a smoothed out, face-lifted plastic doll.
Ed Harris is an interesting choice. Can I guess that it's his aura more than anything? He exudes a quiet sort of confidence, doesn't he? He's one of those people who make you feel that he knows far, far more than he's letting on, but there's no arrogance with it.
Hellooooooooo TJ~
ReplyDelete"...Oh, Susan Sarandon, love her! She is the epitome of aging gracefully.'
You said it, dear lady! I met her once a few years ago here in Philly. She was here because some film group was giving her an award. And when she walked out onstage, I got all goose bumps and teary-eyed because I couldn't believe she was standing in front of me! She just glowed. So beautiful. So natural. So outspoken. LOVED her!
And thank you for mentioning Diane Keaton, because she's another one who is still going strong in the industry and yes, aging gracefully. George Clooney, I'm not really excited about. I know a lot of women like his look (and I respect that), but for some reason he just doesn't do it for me.
"...Yeah, as much as we preach "don't judge a book by its cover", we do. I think it's just part of human nature. We have eyes and with seeing we know beauty when we see it but I love it when at first you don't see beauty but with time it blossoms in front of you."
Yes! Yes! Yes! I so know what you mean because I've met people who actually BECAME beautiful to my eyes because of something INSIDE them.
"...I know one thing as I have gotten older is that I don't like mean people. To me, that is ugly in its most purest form."
THANK YOU!!! I agree! And hearing your story about this woman, I know I would not have found her attractive. Isn't it something how hatered makes physical beauty vanish?
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and feelings. Muchly enjoyed!
Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Hey there Lady Nitebyrd~
ReplyDelete"I had no idea David Beckham was so divine! YUM!"

Bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Thanks for stopping by, Sis! Hope you're having a super week!
X ya bunches!
Hey Jay~
ReplyDelete"You didn't mean to put that in? Ha! Liar, liar, pants on fire!! Oh .. uh ... perhaps a little too apposite, that expression, huh? *Snigger*"
*wink*
And I LOVE that you said "Liar, liar, pants on fire" because I ALWAYS use that expression!!!!
"I'm with you - as a fellow Libran with an eye for beauty, I also favour the older, more lived in type of face."
OMG!!!! You're a Libra too?????? Figures! I knew I LIKED you from the start. I know most zodiac signs are not suppose to get along with their own sign, but I have found that Libra's do. Both my mother and father are/were Libra's.
"OH would be with you, too, particularly on Susan Sarandon, an all-time favourite of his. She IS sexy, and one reason that she is, is because she doesn't try to look unreasonably young. Yup...I couldn't agree with you more! She embraces age, therefore she glows! And guess what? She's a LIBRA!! I think her birthday is October 11th or 12th, I can't remember.
Ed Harris is an interesting choice. Can I guess that it's his aura more than anything? He exudes a quiet sort of confidence, doesn't he? He's one of those people who make you feel that he knows far, far more than he's letting on, but there's no arrogance with it."
*nodding my head*
That's it EXACTLY!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and feeling on this post, dear lady! Always enjoyed!
Have a great week!

What IS the deal?! Geeze. I hate having issues with leaving comments!!!!
ReplyDeleteRAWR.
k....that being said.....
I started drooling at BUTTONS!!!!!! OMG!!!! BUTTONS!!!!! I haven't had those in eons!!! They still make them?
Not that they'd ever taste AS good as they did when I used to sneak to the little store on the way home and buy a string or two. Kinda like tastes changing in people--that's kinda been my experience with 'once-upon-a-time favorites'. Tastes 'refine'. LOL Or, maybe we actually DEVELOP some?! (probably true in my case....just confessing!)
BUTTONS!!!!!
Okay. When buttons take up more air time than Ed Harris and Juliann Moore you KNOW I have some serious issues. LOLOL
If I hit 'post this comment' and BAD things happen...I'm telling MOM! (yours of course......)
EUREKA!!! SUCCESS!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just want you to know, I'm a Libra and I have absolutely NO taste whatsoever. :-/
But I was a premature baby. LOL
So I probably really am a...whateveritwouldmakeme.
NUTZOID is probably the correct answer. LOL
<-- still gonna tell MOM!!!!
Cuz....... :-/
(could we know which one SHE thought was dropdeadgorgeous?)
:-D
JUST askin'!!!!!
Hiya Mel!
ReplyDeleteOh drats...I'm sooooooo sorry to hear about having trouble leaving a comment. Dave said the same thing. I honestly think it's a BLOGGER thing.
" started drooling at BUTTONS!!!!!! OMG!!!! BUTTONS!!!!! I haven't had those in eons!!! They still make them?"
Yes! Yes! They DO still make them! I see them in the drug store all the time. I'm not sure if they're as good as when we were kids, but they certainly look as good! I use to eat them all the time. Hated getting the paper in my mouth though - HA!
"Okay. When buttons take up more air time than Ed Harris and Juliann Moore you KNOW I have some serious issues. LOLOL"
HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHAHA! No, no issues. In fact, I think you're right on because Ed Harris and Julianne Moore ARE cute as a button - HA!
Thanks for stopping by, dearest lady! And YES!!!! Your comment DID go through, see!!!! Thank you for your effort!
Have a great rest of your week!
X ya!
Hey again Mel!
ReplyDelete"And I just want you to know, I'm a Libra and I have absolutely NO taste whatsoever. :-/"
Oh...I beg to differ. Just LOOK at all those amazing photographs you take. Now THAT'S taste!

Yes! Yes! You're not going to believe this, but I just rented that movie at the video store this evening and plan on watching it tomorrow night. I can't wait! Glad to hear both you and Blunt enjoyed it. I have a feeling I will too. I love Woody Allen films!

OMG....that's wonderful!!!! See....we Libra's DO get along famously!!!!

Daniel Craig, yum! I also quite like Clive Owen. My tastes haven't really changed over the years. I'm an Aquarius but do love looking at pretty things. Thanks for the eye candy. Nice start to the day.
ReplyDeleteHey Jen~
ReplyDelete"Daniel Craig, yum! I also quite like Clive Owen."
Yes, MAJOR yum's!
"I'm an Aquarius but do love looking at pretty things."
Yes, Aquarius and Libra are 'air' signs, so I'm not at all surprised that we share the same.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by, my friend. Hope you're having a wonderful week!

It's interesting how some people's taste changes over the years. I know mine has. Although I still think Anne Archer is hot!!!
ReplyDeleteHey there Constant Complainer~
ReplyDeleteIt's grrrrrreat too see ya!
"It's interesting how some people's taste changes over the years. I know mine has."
Isn't that something? I think for most of us it has to do with the changes that occur within us throughout the years.
" Although I still think Anne Archer is hot!!!"
THANK. YOU. I totally agree!
Thanks so much for stopping by, bud. Hope you're enjoying your summer!

this is so me. i dont hang with people younger than i am much. i like 'em old, using a cane or walker and hard of hearing. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, I loved hanging out with the grown-ups because most kids my age bored me to tears - both physically and intellectually. Overall, I found older people more attractive.
darn eye candy, that last one made my mouth drop open. i'll pick it up tomorrow.
hey, i want to comment on the previous post. just wanted to say i loved this the best
ReplyDeleteMy life literally fell apart, only to later realize that my life was falling together.
