Send Me Your Photographs


I know I don’t normally post on Wednesdays, but I suddenly got a fabulous idea the other day. Actually, I stole this fabulous idea from The Pioneer Woman who highlighted photos from her readers on her blog last week. And I can’t tell you how much fun it was to look through all of them.

So, I thought it might be a fun thing to do on my own blog because I know that MANY of you guys and gals share a passion for photography.

And please don’t be modest, because I’ve seen wonderful photographs from all of you.

Okay, here are the guidelines:

-I ask that you email one of your most favorite photographs. It can be of landscapes, people, pets, flowers, anything.

-But no self-nudies, please. I’m saving that for next month - HA!

-I ask that the photo be pre-sized no wider than 575. Height size doesn’t matter.

-Free Online Resizer Lunapic

-Your photo can be enhanced with photo editing, or just as is.

-Color, or black and white.

-Also, please include your name or blog name, and a link you would like me to use when I post your photograph, so I can credit you.

-I will post your photographs in the order in which they are received.

-Deadline for entries will be this Sunday, Sept. 11th before midnight EST.

-My email address can be found by clicking the Contact link below my blog header.

I will post ALL photographs mailed to me. But depending on how many of them I get, I may have to scatter them within the next couple of weeks.

I’m not sure which days I’m going to post the photographs, it’ll just be a surprise.

If you have any questions, feel free to express them in your comments.

Please know that this is not contest, I’m just doing it for fun.

So, come on folks. Don’t be shy. Send your photographs and allow me to show them off for everyone to enjoy!

    Hiya Peg~

    Woot! Woot!

    I'm so glad you're going to send a photo to share because you've got so many wonderful shots!

    Just choose the one that speaks to your heart the most.

    One way you can "size" a photo is to upload it to your blog, 'as if' your were creating a blog post (size it using the editing program in WP) and then when you preview the post, just right click your mouse over the photo and safe it to your computer.

    If not, just email the photo to me in its original size, then I'll resize it before I publish it.

    Not a problem.

    Now ya KNOW I get squeamish about this kinda thing. I start to do the old 'geeze.......I want people lookin' at this crud......' and talk myself out of it.

    It's enough I post what I like at 'home'.....I know why I like it, why I put it there and what it says to me.

    Mine.......eh..... They're okay--some....

    I had to get an external drive to store mine on..twice!

    Hey listen, I'm not going to try and persuade you to send me one your photos if you don't want to, I'll leave that totally up to you. But, I still can't allow this to go by without saying....

    You are such a naturally gifted lady with the camera. Often I look at your photos and think they should be in a magazine because they're so beautifully composed. Truly Mel, you have such a wonderful eye for the camera.

    But Mel, I mean hundreds in my 'photography' folder. I also have gazillions in my other folders. Thousands of cats, people, walks etc., etc. Mine go back over 40 years. I'm not even going to think about all of those :)
