While still a licensed cosmetologist, I took a certified course in assisting burn survivors to camouflage their scars with the use of makeup.

And after experimenting with various cosmetics, I eventually came across a German company Kryolan, which offered an amazing camouflage product called Dermacolor Camouflage Creme.

The thing I found uniquely different from the other makeup products I had tried, was that after Dermacolor was applied to skin...it actually looked like SKIN, not makeup.

Dermacolor is completely opaque and has the most extensive array of colors to choose from so you get a perfect match for your skin.

Honestly? I've never seen a makeup look so natural and at the same time camouflage brilliantly.

And not only can Dermacolor be used for camouflaging scars, but can also be used to cover bruises, tattoos, port wine stains, blemishes, under-eye circles, leg veins, skin discolorations and anything else you want to conceal.

Dermacolor is long-lasting and clinically tested, thus unlikely to cause sensitive reactions.

It is waterproof when used with Dermacolor waterproof powder.

When trying it for the first time, I highly recommend purchasing the mini-concealer palette to hone in on your best matching colors.

Note: sometimes two shades will be needed to blend together in order to create your match.

Prices:

Dermacolor Creme - $26.00

Mini-concealer palette - $27.90

Waterproof powder - $21.00

Dermacolor Camouflage Creme is considered the best professional cover up. Made famous by world-reknown makeup artists who use it to conceal, highlight, and shade, it has now become a consumer favorite.

Dermacolor can be ordered at Alcone Company or through using the contact page at Kryolan.
