My inspiration for this post came from my dear, longtime blogging friend, Debbie @ Musings by an ND Domer's Mom, who is not only a gifted...

Warning: this is going to be a post with a lot of CAPS because, well, I’m just DRAMATIC.

Do you see the sweet and angelic-looking bag of cough drops above?
Well, I would like to say one thing about them.
Are you ready?
GAG ME WITH A SOUP SPOON!!!
Truly, these are the WORST cough drops I have EVER tasted in my ENTIRE 56 years of living on this planet. At first, I thought it was my imagination playing tricks on me; making me believe I was a farmer who had accidentally placed my hand in my mouth after shoveling COW DUNG.
No, they’re even WORSE than cow dung.
*not that I’ve ever tasted cow dung mind you*
These cough drops taste like little pieces of cow dung that have been fork-dipped into a fondue pot of NAIL POLISH REMOVER.
I KID YOU NOT.
I didn’t actually have a cough when I purchased them, I just like having cough drops with me because my throat sometimes gets dry during the winter months from talking all day at work. However, after eating one of these hellish drops, I suddenly FELT like coughing.
And then calling 911.
Normally I purchase Ricola Cough Drops because they're very soothing for a dry throat and taste mild. But since I’m always up for trying something different, I thought I’d give these drops a whirl because they were listed as NATURAL.
Yeah, naturally HORRIBLE.
Some of the ingredients are ginger, honey, lemon grass, tea extract, sage, and white thyme.
Talk about taste sensory OVERLOAD.
The only other natural ingredients missing are Simon and Garfunkel singing, “Parsley and Rosemary.”
And trust me, there isn’t nearly enough honey in these drops to sweeten up the overriding bitter taste of POO-POO.
I have a feeling it was the SAGE that did it for me. If any of you have ever smelled burning sage, it’s similar to the smell of burning marijuana. Which is not a BAD smell, yet I don’t want to EAT it unless it’s baked in BROWNIES.
Here’s a short video clip I put together on these WRETCHED cow dung droppings.
Wishing you a sweet-tasting weekend everyone!
