Spring is the magical season of COLOR. And LOTS of it.

And here on the east coast of the U.S., spring has begun to strut its stuff, showing us just how colorful it can be; not only when it comes to nature, but also in clothing. People are starting to wear more vibrant colors, such as, bright yellows, greens, blues...and PINKS.

(except for me. I primarily wear black because I'm really a vampire posing as a human)

Pink to me is such a happy color because it screams joy, as if to say, "HEY, LOOK AT ME...I'M PINK...AREN'T I FAAAABULOUS??"

Whenever I look at pink, I smile!

So, over the past couple of weeks, I went on a hunt for photographs with pink in them. Some are of nature and some are of people simply wearing pink. And it was very easy to capture these pictures because pink seems to be everywhere you look right now. In fact, several of the photographs that you are about to see, I captured within one day.

Please enjoy the color PINK...

#2  I love this guys pink shirt. And the gal he's walking with has a pink bag in front of her.

#3 Pink cherry blossoms

#4 Look at all the pink this young lady is wearing - dress, shoes, sunglasses, and even a pink streak in her hair. Do you think she likes pink?

#5 Pink cherry blossom buds

#6 Notice all the various tones of pink in this shot. And that little girl standing on the left is so PRECIOUS, is she not? OMG...I love her little hat and dress ensemble. ADORABLE!

#7 A single pink magnolia bud

#8 Looking inside a bar

#9 I love how this guys shirt and sneakers match pink!

#10  Pink tulips

Happy Monday, y'all!
And think PINK

  1. Hi Ron. New follower. #9 seemed surprising to me. He looks like he would wear black, but I love the pink on him. Heck, I'd wear that outfit with a little tweaking!

  2. I adore pink, Ron, it's MY colour. I don't know if you've ever noticed but gardens seem to flower in colours. True. We're in the pink mode now although blue is gradually creeping in, and then it will be white. My magnolia has been the best ever this year, I can't praise it enough. And as a finishing touch, I just bought a blossom pink top to wear with pink sandals... smiles. Great pictures; loved them all, but the one with the little girl has to be favourite.

    Happy springtime.

  3. Wow! Good job finding all that pink! I'm not seeing that much pink here, but looking forward to the azaleas and dogwoods next month.

  4. Love this collection! Pink really is a color that makes me happy! I don't think I take the time to notice it enough though. These colors definitely started my Monday off on the right foot :)

  5. Great collection. And as a matter of fact, I'm wearing a brink pink shirt right this minute.

I love pink (and purple and blue) in the garden. It's so hot here in the summer that I stay away from the warmer colors like yellows and oranges and go with all cool colors.

  6. Hey, Ron, this post has me in the pink!

Few colors say "spring" as definitively as pink! It's telling us that winter is finally over and life once again is blooming.

Great photos, buddy! I especially liked the lady with the pink streaks in her hair. (Did you get her number for me?!?)

All right, Count Ronnie, have a colorful week and do take care!

  7. Pink makes me smile too, Ron. Even my cell phone cover is pink. I love this post! What wonderful photographs. I love the ones of the pink cherry blossoms and tulip, but the one of the little girl is my favorite, she is so cute. And I love the pink balloons!

I really enjoy when you share your photographs with people in them.

Have a wonderfully pink week, Ron x

  8. Greetings Susie!

Welcome. And thank you for stopping by, so nice to meet you!

"#9 seemed surprising to me. He looks like he would wear black, but I love the pink on him."

You know, I never thought of that but you're right. Being someone who primarily wears black, I will sometimes set it off with just a tiny splash of pink, like a pink shirt under a jacket or a pink tie with a black shirt.

Thanks again for stopping. Have a faaaabulous week!

  9. Gooooood morning Valerie!

"I adore pink, Ron, it's MY colour. I don't know if you've ever noticed but gardens seem to flower in colours."

Yes, I have noticed!!! Isn't pink such a great color?

" My magnolia has been the best ever this year, I can't praise it enough."

OMG...you have a magnolia in your garden? That's awesome! I adore magnolia trees and wish they would last all summer!

"And as a finishing touch, I just bought a blossom pink top to wear with pink sandals... smiles."

Sounds faaaaaabulous!!! I really should wear more pink myself. I will sometimes wear a pink tie with my black dress shirt that I wear for work. And anytime I wear it, people will always say they like me pink.

"but the one with the little girl has to be favourite."

Mine too! Is she not the most precious little thing?

Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady. Have a lovely week!

Meeeeee too! We have a park here in Philly called, The Azalea Park, and I love to visit and take pictures. They have both pink and white azalea's. And you're right, I haven't seen them blossom yet. LOVE dogwoods!!!!

Isn't pink such a HAPPY color? I love it, but really don't wear much of it unless it's a pink tie that I wear with my black dress shirt. And sometimes I'll even wear a pink t-shirt under a black jacket.

"I love pink (and purple and blue) in the garden."

The colors you share of your garden in the photos you post on your blog are FAB-U-LOUS! I wish I had a green thumb like you.

" It's so hot here in the summer that I stay away from the warmer colors like yellows and oranges and go with all cool colors."

Yes, it was the same for me when I lived in Florida. Darker colors absorb more heat. And it was terrible because I had/have to wear ALL black for in my job, so it was like wearing a microwave oven. Even here, during the summer months, wearing black is very hot inducing.

Much thanks for stopping by, girl. Have a super week!

Amen! I love this time of the year. And it's funny because even though I don't wear much color, I love seeing it all around me.

"I especially liked the lady with the pink streaks in her hair. (Did you get her number for me?!?)"

HAHAHAHAHAHA! No, but if I ever see her again, I promise I will! I took that shot yesterday. It was one of the last photos I took for this post. And when I spotted her, I knew I had to snap it.

    "Ah-ha--as I always suspected!!"

One of the ladies I work also has a PINK cover on her iPhone as well. She also has one with bright polka-dots!

"but the one of the little girl is my favorite, she is so cute. And I love the pink balloons!"

Is she not the most precious little girl? I got so lucky with that shot because when I saw how MUCH pink was in it, I had to quickly snap two photographs because everyone was walking around so fast, I didn't think I would even GET a clear shot. I love the pink balloons too!

"I really enjoy when you share your photographs with people in them."

Thanks. I like people photographs because they're so interesting and active.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by, girl. Have a wonderfully pink week too!

  15. Ron, this is going to be another one of your posts that I have to share with my girlfriend because she is a pink addict. I've never been much of a pink person but strangely enough, she's got me wearing some pink now and I'm liking it.

(except for me. I primarily wear black because I'm really a vampire posing as a human)

LOL! I'm the same way. I'm a total Gothic vampire. Black is primarily what I wear as well.

Cool shot of inside of the bar. And I like the refection on the glass. I also like the softness of the tulip photo.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Pink is the color along with green that is associated with the Heart Chakra. It is a warm and happy color. When we see pink we feel just a little lighter in our step. I wear pink because I love me. And when I love me I love you. So to all those out put pink on and join the lovefest.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ron, I LOVE pink! And you've done a fabulous job capturing its many moods for us. How cool are that guy's pink sneakers??

Those cherry blossoms are luscious -- wish we had some of those over here. So are the tulips. I've seen peach-colored ones, yellow, purple, and red, but not many pink (sad, because they are so pretty!)

What a HAPPY post you've given us this morning! And you know, black is fine but why not include a POP of color now and then (perhaps even PINK?!)

    Happy Monday, my dear. {{{ you }}}

  18. Hiya Matt!

" I've never been much of a pink person but strangely enough, she's got me wearing some pink now and I'm liking it."

For as much as I love pink, I don't wear a lot of it either. I will sometimes wear a pink paisley tie with a black shirt at work, or aa pink t-shirt under a black jacket/sports coat. I have to wear a BRIGHT pink though, because pastels look horrendous next to my paler skin.

"I'm the same way. I'm a total Gothic vampire."

    Yay to us Gothic VAMPIRES!!!

The shot of the bar I took yesterday. It's a place not too far from where I live. I was so taken by the pink lighting behind the bar.

Thank you :) I had so much FUN putting this pink post together.

"How cool are that guy's pink sneakers??"

Aren't they FABU? I almost didn't get that shot of him because he was walking so fast across the street that I just snapped a picture and prayed that it would turn out.

    "Those cherry blossoms are luscious.."

I agree. Aren't they luscious? We have a slew of them around here right now and they're all blossoming so beautifully. Also, tulips of all colors.

"And you know, black is fine but why not include a POP of color now and then (perhaps even PINK?!)"

You said it! And I think pink looks exceptionally well with black because they're such a great contrast. I have a pink paisley tie I wear with my black dress shirts at work during the spring and summer months.

Much thanks for stopping by, dear lady. Have a delightfully colorful week!

  25. A lovely post, Ron. It touches all the senses. Just lovely!
Believe it or not, I never wore pink with the exception of a beautiful 10-year old leather trench coat (hardly worn) which is far too small for me and a matching pair of pink satin stilettos with black crystal studs. I can't seem to part with them as though I'll ever be a size 2 again! Perhaps one of my younger nieces would enjoy them when they come of age.
Do you think the fellow in #9 is in the fashion industry; running now to drop off his latest creation!? I just find him so cool!

  26. Ron, after reading this post and viewing your photographs, I suddenly feel IN THE PINK! And you're right, isn't this time of the year so colorful and happy looking?

    " "HEY, LOOK AT ME...I'M PINK...AREN'T I FAAAABULOUS??"

I love how you said that about pink because it is a color that screams faaaaaabulous!

I love the photographs of the pink cherry blossoms, they are so bright and cherry. Also, I am so digging that guys pink sneakers. I have to see if I can find a pair like those because I have a light pink Ralph Lauren shirt (like the one that guys is wearing in the second photo) that I think would go well with them.

    That man is not me."

HA! Yes, I know you're not a big fan of pink. But that's okay, we can't all like same colors, right?

"And the girl in the pink striped outfit and pink streaked hair? Meow!"

Bwhahahahaha! Rob said the same thing in his comment! I have no idea who she is, she was just standing there so I snapped a photo of her in PINK.

I use to wear more color when I lived in Florida. And pink was a color I really, really liked. My father also liked pink and would sometimes wear a pink golf shirt.

"Do you think the fellow in #9 is in the fashion industry; running now to drop off his latest creation!? I just find him so cool!"

"I love the photographs of the pink cherry blossoms, they are so bright and cheery."

Aren't cherry blossoms stunning? They always reminded me of Japan because they have them there too. And you always see cherry blossom trees in many of the Asian artworks.

  33. Hey, good eye with the shirt and sneakers combo! This post is a prime example why people should keep an eye out for their surroundings. You never know what you'll see. This tactic serves me well when I'm thinking about writing something. Usually I'll catch a glimpse of something innocuous that my brain latches on to; an elbow hanging out of an open truck window, a harried mother rounding up her unruly brood, an insect missing a leg....it's a visual world out there, you just need to pay attention to the details! :-)

"Hey, good eye with the shirt and sneakers combo!"

But do you know whats funny about that? I never even noticed his pink sneakers until AFTER I got home and uploaded the photo. I was only focusing on the his pink shirt.

" You never know what you'll see....it's a visual world out there, you just need to pay attention to the details!"

You are so right about that! We can receive so much inspiration for either something to write or photograph, just by NOTICING what's going on around us.

Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Hope you had an AWESOME birthday!

Yup....you are absolutely correct. Out of all the colors in the world (besides black) green is my all-time favorite color because it's a very calming color for me. And also very healing. In fact, it's funny you mentioned green because I'm sitting here right now eating my dinner on a GREEN dinner plate - HA!

I like a lot of different colors, green, pink, blue, etc., it's just that when it comes to my living space, I prefer neutral colors and earth tones.

Yes, I think I've seen those trees that you speak of because I've seen that same 'shedding thing' here. In fact, some of the smaller side streets here in Philly are lined with those petals. And it looks soooooo beautiful!

"I know the wedding dress isn't pink but oh boy do i love it."

Don't ya just love that wedding dress? That dress shop custom makes wedding dresses and OMG are they EVER expensive. But they're beautiful!

I adore the tulips, cuz I adore tulips and can never seem to capture like I want to. And I'm envious your cherry trees are blossoming already. Believe it or not, we have rain and snow mix in the forecast for tonight. It won't amount to anything, but sheeesssh... I'm betting we go straight from winter into summer. LOL. Sweltering 101° in the shade. I can hardly wait!!
I'm not a pink person...at all. Fact is you'd be hard pressed to find anything in this house that's pink, clothing or not. Redhead rebel, pink wasn't in my repertoire. Red, yes....pink...notsomuch. Bit of what was mentioned earlier. It meant 'girly'. And girly wasn't fierce or determined or strong. You'd think by now I woulda given that up. LOL. NOPE!! Fact is, I made a point to avoid buying pink stuff for the Bug. SHE'S already fierce and determined...the little booger. (Doubt that has anything to do with Nana not buying her pink. Thinking that's genetic. LOL)
