My longtime blogging friend, Pearl at Everything and Nothing, does an amazing amount of traveling and delightfully documents it on her blog. And even though she is from the UK, Pearl has traveled to more states in America than I have ever been. In fact, if it weren't for her sharing about the many places she and her husband travel to, I would never know what these locations in the US even looked like. But she also travels to countries in Europe.
Pearl has such a passion for traveling; relishing in the history, sites, food, drink, and lifestyle of each place she visits. I've often suggested that she start a travel blog because her posts are so informative and enjoyable.
Traveling has always been something I would like to do more of because I adore visiting different places and seeing how other people live. I would love to take a year and do nothing but travel. And I'm one of those individuals who could travel alone because I'm not shy about meeting new people and striking up conversations. Nor, do I feel apprehensive about being in territories that are unknown to me. I find it exciting!
I've only been to a handful of states here in America, and two countries in Europe. I've also been to Japan. So I am by no means a worldly traveler.
Today I would like to share five places that I'd like to travel and visit. I have many more than five, but these would be on my first-priority list.
I composed these collages from photographs found online.

Italy - Oh dear god, what can I say? My fear is that I would get there and NEVER want to come home because I'd meet a brown-eyed, gay Italian man; eat pasta and cannolis all day; drink wine in Tuscany; ride a romantic gondola in Venice; and then get an apartment together along the Amalfi Coast overlooking the Mediterranean, while sipping Lemoncello and talking Italian. Oh hush y'all...a man can dream, can't he?
Alaska - Being a lover of cold, snow and ice, I have always wanted to visit Alaska. And I think if I were to go there, I would want to travel by cruise ship because they say it's the best way to enter Alaska. And I can only imagine how magnificent that view must be.
Vermont (in the Fall) - For being such a city boy, there is a part of me that feels extremely comfortable submerging myself in the great outdoors; taking hikes; hugging trees; building campfires; and just being within nature. Vermont in the Fall...oh yes! It's no wonder they refer to it as "God's Country."
Barcelona, Spain - I once knew a woman in Florida who was originally from Barcelona, Spain, and she was such an elegant, well-dressed and classy lady. Like Italy, there is something that draws me to Spain - the culture, the style, the art, and the Latin passion!
Vienna, Austria - Ever since seeing the movie, Amadeus, about composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, I have wanted to visit Austria; particularly Vienna. The exquisite architecture and the rich history of Austrian composers are what beckon me there. Whenever I see photographs of Vienna, I hear violins and cellos playing.
If any of you have been to these places and would like to share your experiences, I would love to hear your feedback. Also, please feel free to share places that you would like to visit. Thank you.
Happy Monday, peeps!
