If you've been reading my blog for sometime now, you know of my goo goo ga ga love and affection for babies.
Yes, I'm crazy about babies. I'm one of those people who whenever I see a baby in a stroller can never resist smiling, waving, and throwing kisses. And most of the time the baby will smile back, which melts my heart. As a matter of fact just today while grocery shopping, I spotted an adorable little girl sitting in a stroller as her mother selected fruits and veggies from the produce section. I smiled at her; waved; then blew her a kiss. And do you know what she did? She smiled right back.
Babies to me, are the most precious little things in the whole wide world. I think it's their innocence yet, at the same time, their openness to freely love and express themselves without any reservations.
So in honor of Valentine's Day, I would like to share a post about something I love so very much...BABIES.
Here you go, some baby love...
Oh, how precious! What a perfect post of LOVE, Ron! I love it. I think my fave might be the angel just because of the foot that's curled up. Plus, I love the studious examination of that pillow! Have a delightful weekend, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Ron. I sometimes look at babies and toddlers and think it would be great if they didn't have to grow up :) We have to make the most of them, while they're babies.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet Ron! I didn't know that you had a fondness for babies!! Have you seen Anne Geddes portraits of babies...You really need to check out this link!! http://www.annegeddes.com/ I am sure you will love it! Happy Friday Ron!! xo Jeanne and the girlz
ReplyDeleteRon, this is the sweetest Valentine's Day post! I love babies too and can't wait to have one of my own. But I think I need to find a husband first Lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable photographs! The little boy dressed as a snowman is so cute. And I love the little cherub baby holding the red heart. The last one of the tiny baby feet in hands is so precious. I think a baby's feet are the cutest things ever!
Have a wonderful weekend, Ron. And Happy Valentine's Day X
Hey there Bijoux!
ReplyDelete" I think my fave might be the angel just because of the foot that's curled up. Plus, I love the studious examination of that pillow! "
HA! That's exactly what I thought too! The curled foot and how intent he/she is in examining the pillow. Isn't it a precious photo?
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a delightful weekend!
X
Hello there Babs!
ReplyDelete" I sometimes look at babies and toddlers and think it would be great if they didn't have to grow up :) We have to make the most of them, while they're babies."
I agree with every word you shared. This is why I think it's so important to keep some of that "child-like" spirit within us as adults.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a lovely weekend!
X to you and Mo
Good morning Jeanne!
ReplyDelete" I didn't know that you had a fondness for babies!!"
Yes, over the years (probably before you and I met) I shared several posts on my love of babies. There is one in particular in my archives entitled, "Rent-A-Baby." HA!
Yup, I LOVE the portraits by Anne Geddes. She was the first photographer to take photographs of babes this way. Thanks for sharing the link. I LOVE the one of the baby mermaids!!
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Happy Friday!
X to you and the girlz
Hola Denise!
ReplyDelete" I love babies too and can't wait to have one of my own. But I think I need to find a husband first Lol!"
Many, many years ago, I shared a humorous post on my blog entitled, "Rent-A-Baby" because even though I'll probably never have one of my own, I would love to rent one whenever I felt like it - HA!
"The little boy dressed as a snowman is so cute. And I love the little cherub baby holding the red heart."
Aren't they ADORABLE? The last photograph I found online then added the quote. I think baby's feet are the cutest things ever too!
Thanks so much for stopping by, girl. Happy Valentine's Day and have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day, Ron! Love all the baby love. I can't stand the cuteness! So sweet!! I took my grandbaby to Kohls and she said HI to EVERYONE. Some were so surprised and acknowledged her back. Some didn't. It didn't phase her though, she still said HI! to everyone she saw. Babies are special indeed!
ReplyDeleteOoooh Ron, all babies are adorable. You would have loved the one I minded yesterday. She had such a sweet smile and had the utmost trust in me, who she'd never met before. He grandmother was this month's speaker at WI and at the last minute she had to bring her granddaughter. Everyone wanted to spoil her.
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed that the older we get, the more we love babies?
I love the pictures you showed, especially the little guy in the top hat, and of course the angel.
Hope you have a peaceful weekend x
I love babies too, though they can be a handful. Mine are all grown and having their own babies. There's another on the way coming up in July. I hope to make it back east for that grand occasion (and to see all the other grandchildren that I don't get to see enough).

Absolutely precious! I adore all the sloppy wet baby kisses and sweet hugs I get every day...but I could do without them rubbing their snotty noses on my shirt, ha! And yes, I'm their favorite thing to use to wipe their noses!
ReplyDeleteHellooooo!!!! I'm baaaack! :)))
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post, the wee ones are just precious. Beautiful, sweet choices in photos. That little snowboy... love it. OH, you KNOW how much I love babies. The other night I was in a bit of a low mood so Ron asked if I wanted to visit with our grand darlings. YES!! Had only seen them on FaceTime recently, so getting to kiss and hug in person was WONDERFUL!
Happy, happy weekend wishes, Ron. Sure have missed you.
xo
I have no favs, I love them all!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE babies too, they make me smile and sometimes, holding a newborn, they make me cry...looking at them, so innocent, so beautiful..., I get overwhelmed by the miracle of creating new life in those moments.
What a lovely way to blog about Valentine's Day and love too, loved this post.
Sending some cyber-sweets your way! Have a great weekend Ron, G ;-)
keeping a childlike spirit is a very good plan, for all of us, good point and reminder Ron! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is way too cute! Love that you used Valentines day to celebrate your love for something. That is a really creative idea. And trust me a post full of babies gave me the smile I needed on this long Friday!
ReplyDeleteAwwww....those are precious. I recreated the last one when Peanut was born and again with Twix. They are two of my favorite baby photo memories. And, for some reason, I'm now humming Baby Love by the Supremes!
ReplyDeleteAnimal babies are cute, too. Plus there's the added bonus of never having to change their diapers. Hell, with kittens, all you have to do is scoop the litter box a few times a week and you're golden.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I did change plenty of Audrey's and Rusty's diapers when they were little. I'm NOT saying cats are better than kids.
They don't talk back as much, though...
Happy V-Day to you, Ron!
Ron, all of these photographs are so adorable! What a great way to celebrate LOVE. I have a soft spot in my heart for babies as well. My sister has a baby and whenever I visit her the baby is the highlight! As you said, there is something so innocent about them but at the same time so open, free and unreserved.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, dude! It touched my heart.
Love the last photo!
Hey there Rob!
ReplyDelete"...and I always wave and smile at them whenever I get the chance. The parents may think I'm nuts, but who cares?"
Amen! But most of the time the parents smile back at me too.
"Babies aren't hung up on stuff, they don't have baggage or prejudices or any of that other crap that life piles on us as the years go by. Babies are untouched and see every single moment as a wonder. We could learn a lot from them."
OMG...I LOVE how said that because it's EXACTLY how I feel too. We could learn A LOT from them. Which is why I think it's so important to keep a child-like innocence within ourselves.
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a super weekend and Happy Valentine's Day!
X
Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Angelia!
ReplyDelete"I took my grandbaby to Kohls and she said HI to EVERYONE. Some were so surprised and acknowledged her back. Some didn't. It didn't phase her though, she still said HI! to everyone she saw."
And THAT'S what I LOVE about them. They love and express themselves without any reservation.
As I'm sure you already know, I adore your posts on you grandchild. OMG...she's sooooooooo CUTE!
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a LOVELY weekend!

"but I could do without them rubbing their snotty noses on my shirt, ha! And yes, I'm their favorite thing to use to wipe their noses!"
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA! OMG...how CUTE!
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Happy Valentine's Day and have a super weekend!

Hey there Arlee!
ReplyDeleteHA! Yes, they can be handful. But OH, so worth it.
"Mine are all grown and having their own babies. There's another on the way coming up in July. I hope to make it back east for that grand occasion (and to see all the other grandchildren that I don't get to see enough)."
Hope you make it back east too. And I bet you can't wait for that GRAND occasion! There is nothing quite like seeing a newborn.
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a super weekend!

Hellooooooo Valerie!
ReplyDelete"You would have loved the one I minded yesterday. She had such a sweet smile and had the utmost trust in me, who she'd never met before. He grandmother was this month's speaker at WI and at the last minute she had to bring her granddaughter. Everyone wanted to spoil her."
HA! I bet! And that's another thing I love about babies, they have the utmost trust. So open and accepting.
"Have you noticed that the older we get, the more we love babies?"
Yes, I have. I have always loved babies, but I love them even more.
"specially the little guy in the top hat, and of course the angel."
Aren't they adorable? I just wanna squeeze and kiss them!
Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady. Happy Valentine's Day and have a beautiful weekend!
X to you and Joe

Yes, I DO know how much you love babies. And your grandchildren are ADORABLE!
Happy Valentines Day and have a super weekend!

Hello there Geraldine!
ReplyDeleteAren't they ADORABLE? I had just a hard time selecting these photographs because there were so many to choose from. I finally narrowed them down to these 10.
"...they make me smile and sometimes, holding a newborn, they make me cry...looking at them, so innocent, so beautiful..., I get overwhelmed by the miracle of creating new life in those moments."
Yes! Yes! Yes! I feel exactly the same way, I get very overwhelmed by babies. And many times it will bring tears to my eyes.
"Sending some cyber-sweets your way!"
You too, my friend....((((((((((((( You )))))))))))))
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey there Shae!
ReplyDelete" Love that you used Valentines day to celebrate your love for something. That is a really creative idea."
To me, Valentine's Day doesn't only mean 'romantic love', it can mean ALL kinds of love. Like BABY love!
Happy Valentine's Day, my friend. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super weekend!

Hello there Lisa!
ReplyDelete" I recreated the last one when Peanut was born and again with Twix. They are two of my favorite baby photo memories."
OMG...I would LOVE to see that on your blog because I bet it's a GREAT picture!

ReplyDeleteBwhahahahahaha! Mark, that cracked me up! And you're right though, animal babies are cute, too!
"To be fair, I did change plenty of Audrey's and Rusty's diapers when they were little. I'm NOT saying cats are better than kids.
They don't talk back as much, though..."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a fantabulous weekend!
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Tara!

Hiya Matt!
ReplyDeleteI decided to post this because Valentine's Day primarily seems to be targeted to "romantic love", but to me, LOVE can be celebrated in ALL ways.
"I have a soft spot in my heart for babies as well. My sister has a baby and whenever I visit her the baby is the highlight!"
Awwwww....and I would be the same way!
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a super weekend and Happy Valentine's Day!

Ron, this is the cutest Valentine's Day post! Every one of these photographs made me go, "Awwww.." Babies are indeed the most precious things in the whole wide world. It's funny how even though they are only babies, we as adults, have so much to learn from them.
ReplyDeleteLove that final photograph, Ron! So sweet!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Hey ho Robert!
ReplyDelete" It's funny how even though they are only babies, we as adults, have so much to learn from them."
Yes, you are absolutely right about that! I think it's ironic that we grow up, only to go back and learn what we intuitively knew when we were born. To love.
Isn't that photograph of the baby feet sooooooooo sweet?
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Happy Valentine's Day and have a fabuloso weekend!
X
Ron, I forgot to mention your photograph of the candy Valentine's hearts. It's so clever!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elaine :) I bought a bag of candy hearts and then placed them on a very wrinkled white t-shirt; forming the word LOVE. I then used some editing to add the "Baby."

Very precious, Ron. So innocent, so cute! I think I might like the one all wrapped up in the heart towel best -- such an expression!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, dear, however you choose to spend it (and I do hope the snows and bitter cold steer a wide path AWAY from you!)
Now THAT's a Valentine's post I can get behind! I love me some babies. I've got lots of little brothers and sisters so I've basically had a baby on my hip since I was 15. My dream volunteer job would be holding babies born to addicts at the nursery as they heal.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's to you!!
Hello there Debbie!
ReplyDelete" I think I might like the one all wrapped up in the heart towel best -- such an expression!"
That's one of my faves as well! I LOVE the expression on its face. Isn't it priceless?
Happy Valentine's Day, dear friend. And much thanks for stopping by!

(and I do hope the snows and bitter cold steer a wide path AWAY from you!)
We got a bit of snow this afternoon, but it didn't last long. I hear that tomorrow it's supposed be 3 degrees!
Hey there Dale!
ReplyDelete"I love me some babies. I've got lots of little brothers and sisters so I've basically had a baby on my hip since I was 15."
Aren't babies the BEST?
" My dream volunteer job would be holding babies born to addicts at the nursery as they heal."
OMG...I cannot believe you said that because when I was living in Florida, I was so hoping to volunteer holding babies born to addicts at The Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando. But I never got the chance to do it because there were so many people who tried to volunteer, that the waiting line was so long.
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!

I LOVE ME SOME BABIES. Those are so sweet. And you know what I like about this post the most? I have seen you take amazing pictures of families and kids... but I didn't see the "baby side." Made me really smile. These are SO CUTE. I love the kisses one... I bet it was fun being Mama and putting on the lipstick to make the kisses!
ReplyDelete"I LOVE ME SOME BABIES. Those are so sweet. "
ReplyDeleteAren't they adorable, Katherine?
" And you know what I like about this post the most? I have seen you take amazing pictures of families and kids... but I didn't see the "baby side."'
Thank you, but I didn't take these pictures, I got them off the Internet from various photographers. I included their source link so that I would give them credit.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, my friend! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

That last photo just pulls on my heart every time. Those small feet do make big impressions.
ReplyDeleteI remember being very skeptical about becoming a "grandma".
There's still a bit of me that resists saying THAT WORD when it comes to me.
In fact the Bug will correct people "She's not my grandma, she's my NANA."
Bless her heart.
And I DO like being her Nana....
Perfect post for Valentine's Day....at least for ME who found out I get to be holding on to another wee thing and letting him/her call me Nana, too. (G-d willing...)
Sweet pics! As long as they're not mine....
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, Ron!
Hiya Nana Mel!
ReplyDelete"That last photo just pulls on my heart every time. Those small feet do make big impressions."
Me too! Isn't that last photograph precious?
