Post updates by email:
Saturday afternoon I ran some errands because I needed a few things from different stores. One of my favorite places to purchase vitamins, herbs and essential oils is The Vitamin Shoppe because their prices are great and I love their customer service. They are always friendly and very knowledgeable if I have any questions. I use a lot of eucalyptus oil for various things and was getting low, so I popped into The Vitamin Shoppe and picked up a bottle.

After I paid for the oil, much to my surprise and delight, the gentleman behind the counter handed me this nifty bag of samples. I thanked him profusely and left.

When I got home, I opened the bag and examined what was inside. I was blown away by how generous they were. Here, take a look...

But I have to say, outside of occasionally taking vitamin supplements and certain herbs, I had no idea what any of these samples were.

Curious, I decided to try everything to see how (and if) they worked. I started with one, then another, and then another until I had ingested everything in the bag. About an hour later, I started to FEEL and SEE their effects. I felt ignited with energy and my body was literally transforming right before my very eyes. I couldn't believe what I saw when I looked at myself in a mirror!

Here is a photograph BEFORE I took all the supplements...

And even without going to a gym and working out, this is what happened...

After 2 hours

After 4 hours

After 6 hours

And this is what I looked like when I woke up Sunday morning...

Ronnie the Hulk!

Of course I'll have to buy all new clothing because I no longer fit into my skinny shirts and pants.

Okay, I admit it. This is all a slight exaggeration. But hey, I needed a blog post so I decided to be creative and tell a story. Which means I LIED.

Have muscular Monday, y'all!

  1. I'll stick with Ronnie #1, thank you very much! I'm not into the beefcake. Though that may be a little too Beiber for me!

They're really pushing the hemp these days, aren't they? Have a great week, Ronnie!

  2. Whaaaaa ... those samples are AMAZING. All that in such a short time. Okay, I know you were kiddin', you great liar, you ... LOL. Actually, I'm curious to know more about (hang on, I've got to scroll back) N.O.-EXPLODE. My mind is boggling! And what on earth do they use HEMP for? Anyway, it was very good of the gent to hand out so many samples. Do you think he treated all his customers to a few?

Happy Monday from Joe and me (I had to show him your new image) xx

  3. I'm so glad you were telling porky's (pork pies = lies), Ron. I hate muscle men. There is nothing at all attractive about it, in my opinion. If I had to choose, it would be No 1, because he looks young enough for his body to fill out a little bit more, with age.

I love getting freebees, but I have no idea what any of these are for, either. I have a rule that, unless my doctor prescribes something, I don't take it. The older I get, the more careful I get, with what I put into my body :)

  4. Oh Ronnie Hulk, I so needed a laugh this morning! Love the before and after Muscle Magazine cover! You are so clever. I shop at a Vitamin Shoppe by my apartment and I agree, their prices are great their customer service is outstanding. And they don't push you to buy things you don't need. I buy my multivitamins there.

Have a wonderful week, Ron. And don't get too muscular, you might explode Lol! X

  5. Ron, you crack me up! I'm glad to hear you were lying because I hate the look of musclemen. And what's with women doing the same thing? They look like men. It's just too much. I've always been interesting in essential oils, I use a lavender candle but I've never used the oil by itself. What do you use eucalyptus oil for?

    Have a great week, Ron!

HAHAHAHA! Yes, it does look very BEIBER doesn't it? And I agree with you, I am so not into beefcake. It's looks as though they were blown up, like a balloon!

"They're really pushing the hemp these days, aren't they?"

Yes, they are. And I don't even know what it's for or what it does. Whenever I see "hemp" I think of the 70's and WEED - HA!

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a super week!

  7. Good morning Valerie!

Aren't the generosity of the samples impressive? I could believe how many they packed in that bag! And I actually haven't tried any of them so far.

"I'm curious to know more about (hang on, I've got to scroll back) N.O.-EXPLODE. My mind is boggling!"

From the label, it supposed to be a dietary supplement that you take before you work out. It's in a powder form.

" And what on earth do they use HEMP for?"

I have no idea but I keep seeing it used in many products lately. To me, whenever I see the word "hemp" I think of the 70's and WEED - HA!

"Anyway, it was very good of the gent to hand out so many samples. Do you think he treated all his customers to a few?"

I just so happened to go in on a day when they were handing out these bags of samples. Perhaps it was a promotion? And I was surprised when he gave them to me because I only purchased one item.

Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady. Have a super week!
    X to you and Joe

I so agree, Babs! I hate the look of musclemen. I don't mind "toned" but overly-muscled just looks too much.

"I love getting freebees, but I have no idea what any of these are for, either. I have a rule that, unless my doctor prescribes something, I don't take it. The older I get, the more careful I get, with what I put into my body :)"

I love freebees too, but like you, I had no idea what any of these things were. I think they're more for bodybuilders because they are all pretty much protein and energy supplements. To be honest, I haven't tried any of them. I do take some vitamins and herbs, especially if I get a cold. But other than that, I don't take much.

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a lovely week!

  9. Hey there Mary!

"Hey, don't let my son see this amazing transformation! He'll be buying lifetime supplies of everything in that bag! LOL He's got pre-workout something or another, then something for after. Shakes, vitamins, juice mixes. Whatever Arnold is selling, I think he's buying."

Yes, most of the samples in the bag were geared towards bodybuilding and gaining more muscle. I haven't actually tried any of them and probably won't, other than one of the protein/energy bars.

"I use Hemp oil for dips and cooking sometimes."

Thank you for mentioning that because I keep seeing HEMP products everywhere and had no idea what it does. Not only do I see it in edible products, but also body lotions.

" Wow, this weather is nasty, eh? Like you, I enjoy the cold, but this is toooo much. Ice... go away! We're just about out of salt and I'm ready to start using kitty little on the sidewalks. If it weren't for all the neighborhood strays that would be scratching and pooping in our driveway I'd do it. haha"

HAHAHAHHAHA! Yes, I'm kinda over it too. And although we haven't had much snow this winter in Philly, it's been very cold. I'm honestly looking forward to spring, however, March can be very cold and snowy. So I don't think it's over yet. I've even seen it snow in APRIL!

Have a super week, neighbor, and thanks for stopping by!

Glad you had a laugh this morning :)

". I shop at a Vitamin Shoppe by my apartment and I agree, their prices are great their customer service is outstanding. And they don't push you to buy things you don't need. I buy my multivitamins there."

I first discovered The Vitamin Shoppe while I was still living in Florida and was so glad to see that they had them here in the Northeast as well. It's actually a New Jersey-based retailer.

" And don't get too muscular, you might explode Lol!"

    Don't worry, I won't :)

  11. Holy crap, Ron! Nobody's gonna kick sand in your face when you go to the beach!

I have to admit that I was shocked, SHOCKED, when I found out that you had lied to us! I was convinced that you had turned into Mr. Universe over the weekend and I was so crushed when I found out that you had fibbed.

Maybe you should consider a career in politics or get a job at FOX News. But please be assured that we all love the original Ronnie and don't need you bulking up like a lunatic. You crazy enough as it is!

Great post, buddy! Have a great week and keep flexing those biceps!

" I'm glad to hear you were lying because I hate the look of musclemen. And what's with women doing the same thing? They look like men. It's just too much."

I agree with you, the overly-muscled look is just too much. And yes, you see more and more women into the same thing. They look like they have the bodies of a man.

" I've always been interesting in essential oils, I use a lavender candle but I've never used the oil by itself. What do you use eucalyptus oil for?"

Like you, I have always been interesting in the use of essential oils. I took a basic course in Aromatherapy several years ago because I wanted to know more about essential oils and their usage. I use eucalyptus for many things: I use it in a spray bottle as a room freshener, I use it on cuts to sanitize and heal, and I also use it in a glass of water as a mouthwash. It's one of those essential oils that has many uses. I love the smell of eucalyptus - clean and fresh. I also use lavender as well.

  16. In which profession but writing can we get away with blatant LIES and call it creativity, huh?!

Ron, these are hilarious! Frankly, though, I think I prefer the Ronnie au naturel to the blow-up guy versions! Just a matter of personal preference, I guess -- but I can't help thinking the "doctored Rons" would fly around the room if somebody stuck a pin in them, ha!

Happy Monday to you, and thanks for a morning chuckle!

  17. Arnold Schwarzenegger move over, Ronnie the Hulk has arrived! Ron, you make me laugh with your clever humor. Hilarious pictures! And wouldn't it be something if these supplements really worked this fast? Got to say though, musclemen have never been an attraction for me. I prefer a lean and toned body on a man, just my preference.

I've seen The Vitamin Shoppe in the mall but have never been inside. They sound like a great company!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Elaine, eucalyptus oil is very inexpensive. You can get a large bottle for around $7.00, Lavender is a bit more expensive, but well worth it. You can find a lot of information online about essential oils and how to use them. In fact, I used to write a blog on WordPress where I shared information on alternative and natural health. Here's the link: https://solework.wordpress.com/
    You may find it helpful.
