As you guys and gals know, I read a wide variety of blogs. Some are personal blogs, some are focused more on design, lifestyle, DIY, and photography.
I can't exactly remember how or when I discovered Ann Street Studio. However, from the first moment I landed on the site, I became a fan and loyal reader. Not only was I impressed by the amazing photography, but also the way in which blog owners, Jamie Beck and her husband Kevin Burg, presented their posts. Even to this day, anytime I visit their blog, I always feel as if I'm being shared something very special. Both Jamie and Kevin have a magical way of bringing everything they enjoy into one place, be it travel, photography, design or fashion. They share it all. And they do it beautifully!

Here is an excerpt from their About page:
Recently at Ann Street Studio, Jamie shared photographs of New York Fashion Week; highlighting the designs of Naeem Khan that took my breath away. What I love about these photographs, beside the exquisite collection, is the way Jamie so brilliantly captured the movement and flow of the gowns. I think these photographs are stunning!
I think my favorite thing about the talents of Jamie and Kevin are their cinemagraphs. The format is a type of GIF, a photo in which only a piece of the image subtly moves.
They're freaking faaaaaaaabulous!
Here, take a look...
So if you're ever in the mood to experience exquisite visual storytelling, please visit Ann Street Studio.
Visual storytellers Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg unfold tales of fashion, travel, truth and beauty. Through photographs, videos, and their own invention, Cinemagraphs, they create new worlds — from their New York City workspace, Ann Street Studio. May you find something here to inspire you.

OMG how fabulous is that? Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg must be multi-talented in every way. I love the way the fashions are so beautifully photographed and displayed, and hey what about those cinemagraphs.... amazing. I guess I'd better get along to their blog and see some more. Thank you so much for sharing x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gowns. where do people wear those? LOL! But OMG, those cinemagraphs are unbelievable! I've never heard or seen anything like it. So creative and fun to watch! Thank you for introducing us to so much beauty! I hope you are having a beautiful weekend yourself, Ron! XO
ReplyDeleteOMG Ron, I want one of every gown LOL! The red dress is my favorite. And you're right, Jamie did capture the movement of the clothing! And those cinemagraphs are amazing! I've never seen anything like them. How in the world did they ever do that? They're just AMAZING. I love the one with the bunny rabbits. How cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such unique talents, Ron! I will have to stop by their blog so that I can see more. Do they do this for a living?
Have a great Sunday!
Gorgeous gowns, Ron! I'm in love with that first one. I've never heard of Naeem Khan so I'll have to check out his link. Beautiful photographs! I will definitely be visiting Ann Street Studio to check it out it. I read different kinds of blog too.
ReplyDeleteThose cinemagraphs are INCREDIBLE! I could just stare at them for hours.
Thank you for sharing this today, Ron. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend x
Good morning Valerie!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are. They are MULTI-TALENTED in so many ways. They photograph a lot of ads for various products. They also travel a great deal; sharing with some of the most beautiful photographs. A few months ago they visited Argentina and the photographs were simply gorgeous!

"those cinemagraphs are unbelievable! I've never heard or seen anything like it. So creative and fun to watch! "
Up until the time I discovered their blog, I had never heard or seen anything like it either. I was BLOWN AWAY! They've created them for various ads; highlighting products, designs, etc.

HA! Aren't they stunning? I love the red dress as well. I also love the first one.
" I've never seen anything like them. How in the world did they ever do that? They're just AMAZING."
Up until discovering their blog, I too had never seen anything like them. I'm not sure exactly how they create them, but I'm curious to know as well. They're amazing, aren't they? Yes, the bunnies are so cute! I love how their little noses wiggle in the picture.
And yes, both Jamie and Kevin do this for a living. They take a lot photographs for print ads; highlighting products, clothing designs, etc. They're so talented!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the first one as well! I also love the red one. I love how it just flows.
"I've never heard of Naeem Khan so I'll have to check out his link."
I hadn't either, he's from India. Very talented! And I think you will really enjoy Ann Street Studio because they share a lot about fashion, design, and also places they travel. The pictures they share of a trip they took to Argentina were absolutely stunning! Argentina is a country I have always wanted to visit.
Aren't the cinemagraphs mind blowing?
Thanks so much for stopping by, girl . Have a wonder Sunday and week!

Ron, the photographs of the gowns are just beautiful, but I'm enthralled with the cinemagraphs. They ROCK! How the hell did they make them so that only part of the picture moves, while the other part is still? Incredible! I will be sharing this post with my girlfriend because she's a graphic artist and would really enjoy these photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, dude. Very interesting post!
Hiya Matt!
ReplyDeleteAren't they AMAZING?!?!?!? If you go to their website and click on the cinemagraphs link at the top, you will find more. You will also find a link to a separate website where they have even more.
"How did they make them so that only part of the picture moves, while the other part is still? Incredible! "
I have no idea how they did it, but I would love to know.
Hope your girlfriend enjoys the pics!
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a most excellent week!

Thanks for introducing us to this talented team, Ron -- I do love those photos where only a small thing moves!
ReplyDeleteAs for the fashion, yes, I see what you mean -- these gowns do look like they're flowing. My fav just might be that scarlet one in the middle, although I can see why I'd fail miserably at being a fashion model. Those stilettos would KILL my feet, ha!
Happy Sunday to you, my friend! xo
Hello there Debbie!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome, my friend. I have been wanting to share a post about Jamie and Kevin for the longest time, so I finally decided to do so after I read their most recent posts of New York Fashion Week. Aren't the cinemagraphs FABULOUS? And they have a lot more on their blog. I had a hard time choosing just these because they're all so good!
Isn't the scarlet gown just beautiful? I also love the first one.
"I can see why I'd fail miserably at being a fashion model. Those stilettos would KILL my feet, ha!"
HAHAHAHA! I know, as much as I love seeing a woman in high heels, I can only imagine how hard they are on the feet; especially if you have them on for a long period of time.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you had a super weekend!

I agree, those gifs are mesmerizing. And the dresses are photographed in such a beautiful way. I ma happy with my life as it is, but wouldn't it be wonderful to wear clothes like that once in a while?
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, Ron, what a fantastic blog. These people do such beautiful work. And I especially like cinemagraphs. They seem to be a telling a story--and the viewer gets to fill in the blanks. Thanks for the tip, buddy, I'll have to check this blog out. Take care!

ReplyDeleteAren't they AMAZING, Pearl?
ReplyDelete"The movement completely brings to life photographs that would have been awesome as stills!"
Yes, exactly! And I have no idea HOW they created them. I wonder if they shot the image with both a video camera and a still camera, and then edited them together?!
AMAZING!
Thanks so much for stopping by, m'dear. Have a terrific Tuesday!

" I want to learn how to make them!! "

Not only are these gowns exquisite in their own right but they seem to be almost magical in the way they've been photographed. The models look stunning too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this talented duo will be well pleased by your words of praise Ron. You have showcased their talents in a big way here.
Love those silver shoes towards the end of the post. 😂
PS, You had a very nice comment on your comment at my blog for the book ,Going Gray. Thought you might want to read it too. Your comment was most insightful. Thanks Ron.
"but they seem to be almost magical in the way they've been photographed. The models look stunning too."
ReplyDeleteYes, Geraldine...I soooooo agree with you. I think it's a lot about the way Jamie photographed the clothes and the models that makes them magical!
Aren't those silver shoes faaaaaaabulous? I wonder how they got them to sparkle like that?

Ron, what a great post. I love hearing/reading about good blogs and you're right, theirs is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos from fashion week. They are stunning, and so are the dresses (although ordinary people like me don't wear dresses like that!). The GIF photos are awesome. I've seen GIF but never knew you could make them "move"!
(((YOU)))
Helloooooooooooo Pam!
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to see ya! Thank you. I have wanted to share a post about Jamie and Kevin for a long time, so I decided to just do it. I love to highlight talent I really think is AWESOME.
"They are stunning, and so are the dresses (although ordinary people like me don't wear dresses like that!). "
You're right, the average person doesn't wear dresses like these most of the time. They would be more appropriate for very formal occasions. But OMG...aren't they gorgeous?
"The GIF photos are awesome. I've seen GIF but never knew you could make them "move"! "
Me neither. I was so impressed with these!
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Hope all is well with work and your writing. Have a fabulous rest of your week!
((((( You )))))

I'm not sure which is more amazing, the fashions or the photos of them. The cinemagraphs are also very cool.
ReplyDeleteYes, Pat, I know exactly what you mean. I think it's probably a combination of them both. Aren't the cinemagraphs amazing?
