Post updates by email:

Quite frequently while I’m googling for photos to add to my blog posts, I will discover images that I may not being looking for at the time, but will suddenly give me an idea for a future post.

I know this may sound strange, but often times I get my blog post ideas from an image first, then write the post afterward.

An image will sometimes spark inspiration.

Last week while surfing the Internet, I stumbled upon some really amazing photographs of unusual-looking animals. I have no idea how or why these photographs showed up, because I was essentially googling for images that pertained to writing.

However, I guess fate took over and somehow lead me to someone who I feel has a very special gift with a camera; especially when it comes to taking photographs of animals.

Those of you who have been reading my blog for some time now, know that I have a soft spot in my heart for animals. I also have a soft spot in my heart for babies. Show me a picture of a cute little baby and I’m all goo-goo-ga-ga.

And show me a picture of a cute critter and I get all animal CRACKERS.

Today I would like to share the talent of photographer, IN CHERL KIM, who lives in Seoul, Korea.

I spent an hour looking through his photostream and had a very difficult time picking just eight.

Most of these were taken at the Everland Zoo in Korea.

A Fennec Fox

This was the first photo I discovered, which lead me to his Flickr photostream.

Isn’t this baby fox ADORABLE?? He looks like a gremlin. This photo makes me want to affectionately chew on those big fuzzy ears.

A Pig Tailed Monkey

Awww….look at those sweet little eyes.

A newborn Tiger

Notice the butterfly that landed on it‘s head. Isn’t nature astounding?

A Brazza Monkey

He looks like a wise old sage who is about to say something very enlightening, doesn’t he?

A White Peacock

OMG…isn’t this stunning? I’ve never seen a white peacock before.

Golden Monkey’s

Look at their faces - it’s as if they were actually painted. Serious-looking animals, aren’t they?

Chimpanzee and Orangutan Love

I bet this shot was taking on their wedding day and he’s saying to her, “Don’t worry my love, I promise to be gentle tonight.”

A tiny baby Marmoset

Have you ever seen anything so tiny and precious? I wish I had one of these when I was a kid for Show and Tell.

If you have some time this week, please stop by Flickr to see more amazing photos from this gifted photographer.

UPDATE:

I'm having MAJOR problems with comments right now. Some are being published and others are not. So, if you've commented in past two days and do not see your comment, I'm so sorry. This morning I published my comments held in moderation and none of them showed up. Oh well, I suppose they'll show up eventually. That is, whenever Blogger gets around to FIXING it. Thank you for your patience and understanding everyone...X

  1. "I promise to be gentle tonight" Bwahaha...man, you're too much! My favorite is the Braza monkey. Reminds me of my 9th grade Physics 101 teacher, only with less facial hair.

*10 minutes later* Darn it, now you've got me looking at her Flickr site. Good stuff!

  2. Those are cool!!!

I think the marmoset is my favorite. Too damned cute!

I remember backpacking near the coast just north of San Francisco when my buddy and I were treated to nature at it's finest. We came around a corner and there were a deer and a small cat nose to nose. Neither of us had a camera though, Bummer!

  3. Men who love animals are just the cutest... my dear hubby is the same. Any furry creature will get his utmost compassion-attention. In New York he went crazy over all the squirrels playing around in the parks!

  5. Oh oh oh!! Critters!!!!!
    :-)

Ohmygosh the last wee one was just too cute. I'd be too afraid I'd squish him to touch--but how cute is HE!

I'm a free critter enthusiast. I like that our backyard is a zoo. LOL Himself is convinced the neighbors think I'm mad for talking to them, but I guess there's worser things to be known for, eh?
I could do with a monkey or two....or maybe a big ear fox who'd be nice to the ground squirrels.....

I'll now haffta go see more pictures, yaknow.
If I'm late to work I'm blamin' you!
    Just sayin'.....LOL

I also volunteered at the Research pad behind the San Diego Zoo for about 6 months when I was at Univ. Next door to us were the pygmy marmosets- which were the size of your finger-- The smallest and cutest things I've EVER seen!!
LOVE the aminals... and the crackers, too!!

    Tee, hee!

Honest, though....doesn't it look like that's what he's saying?

"My favorite is the Braza monkey. Reminds me of my 9th grade Physics 101 teacher, only with less facial hair."

    Bwhahahahahaahhaahaha! Isn't the expression, priceless??

Glad you enjoyed his Flickr site. Amazing stuff, hu?

  8. This post made me all fuzzy and warm, and chiastic! I promise, I'm not swearing, Ron! "Chiasmus" is the word for an expression as used in the heading of your post, Crackers for Animals, Animal Crackers; or Mae West, "It's not the men in my life, but the life in my men." ;)

    Buona giornata, Ron! :))

  10. OMG Those animals are precious! I just want to cuddle with all of them. Those are amazing. Thanks so much for sharing.

btw...did you get your "package"? Hubby asked me to ask you....

  11. That first one is just too cute for words! I'm also a sucker for cute baby animal pictures. Human babies, not so much. Mother Nature sure knew what she was doing when she made puppies, kittens and babies. You get 'em when they're all cute, cuddly and adorable, that's when then grab your heart and you're in love. So by the time they grow up, you gotta keep 'em, even if they turn out to be a hound from hell, a psycho kitty or a PITA kid!

  12. Hey Ron, these photos are great. At first I thought it was going to be a long reminisce about animal crackers (which I loved as a child), but then I realized you were on a whole other tangent. The photographer is very talented indeed, but I don't think the butterfly actually landed on the tiger's head. Would be worth finding out. I'm taking a trip to flickr.

Yes, isn't the marmoset so damn cute?? I want one! Or two! HA!

"We came around a corner and there were a deer and a small cat nose to nose."

Holy shit...I bet you did a double take and then a triple take! How AMAZING is that???

OMG..I wish you had had a camera!!!

Your husband sounds like such a sweet man. I bet you two make a fabulous couple!

OMG...I can't believe you mentioned SQUIRRELS! They (along with cats) are my favorite little creatures. I too sit in the city parks here in Philly and watch the squirrels play. I love to feed them peanuts. Some of them will actually eat them right out of my hand!

Thank you for stopping by today, Susu!

    You're such a delight!

Hope you had a super day!

    You're amazing, girl!

You don't like butterflies? Oh, that's ok, we can't all like everything. I feel that way about certain insects, myself.

  23. Ron, what's up, dude. Happy belated 4th!

I love how you come up with post topics by using Google.

I've often thought about taking a week and writing posts using the key words that some people (and SPAMers) use to find my site. LOL. But then again, I suspect I'd get tired of writing about whores interested in devient sex acts. LMAO.

Honey, I've been thinking of you and this heat, too. I hear you guys are getting it even hotter than us. It's midnight now and it's still 86 degrees!

I thought I was going to die when I left work at 5:30 today and BOTH elevators in the parking garage were out of order. It's bad enough that they're 500 degrees (cuz they're glass) when they DO work. Thank goodness the one at the other end was functioning but God help anyone that got in my way by the time I got to my car on the 8th floor. I was dripping and miserable!!

    Try to stay cool! :-)

OMG....the heat here has been worse than I have ever experienced since moving back east 9 years ago. All week it's suppose to be 100 degrees!! Nightime it probably only goes down into the high 80's, low 90's. I gotta tell ya, there is nothing more painful than summer city heat. You feel like you're in an oven. People are irritable and grumpy. And the smell - Pew!

    I can't wait for FALL!!!!!!!!!

"This is a photographer that sees through his heart."

Yes, dear lady. And I think that's why I was immediately drawn to his amazing photographs. Even his photos that are of people, landscape, etc. ALL seem to have that same quality.

I think if I were to have to choose just one, the fox would be my favorite too.

"forgot to mention that my favorite part of animal crackers was the little string to carry the box around. I remember it being red. Was it?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Mine too! In fact, when I was a little kid I use to carry that box by the string and pretend I was carrying a purse - HA!!!

If I'm not mistaken, I think the string is white. But, now that you mentioned it I'll have to check the next time I'm in the grocery store.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you had a wonderful time in Atlanta.

  44. I agree with you my friend. There is nothing more real then looking in the eyes of an animal they have a knowing that seems to evade all of us. They know that they will be provided for and that love and trust is the way into ones heart. They have a special place in this planet and we should honor all animals.
My uncle Ralph ~ now that is an animal. He sleeps anywhere he wants to and licks himself in the stangest place on his body. He has that fine Italian hair all over his 5 ft 3 in frame and has no problem with be being a regular guy. He is so regular he uses the my Aunt's carpet as a litter box every 6:30 am. I just love it when Ralph sits next next to Aunt Jenny and picks the flies and ticks off her and eats them. Now that is what I call a real animal.
