As most of you know, I grew up in a family that had both cats and dogs as pets; therefore hold an admiration, love, and respect for each.
Yet, I seem to connect on a more 'familiar' level with cats.
Gee….and I wonder what that familiar level could be?
Um….sarcasm perhaps?
Let’s take a look at some catcasm...
And lastly, "Simon's Cat"....
Have a MEOW of a weekend everyone!
X
I didn't know there were cats in the blue flame club! And the cat scan made me laugh outloud. Thank you for the early morning kitty laughs!
ReplyDeleteHeehee Ron, I loved the cat on the counter and the one trying to rip the couch to bits, in fact I loved this whole post. You finished off my cat tales a treat with it. Must check out simonscat.com. Happy Friday, my friend.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what's with the word verification. Trying a third time to try and read the code.
I love Simon's Cat. There's a great one I posted once about the cat walking Simon up. If you've not seen it yet, you'd love this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q34z5dCmC4M
ReplyDeleteI was raised with dogs and cats, too (and gerbils, turtles, pigs, cows and so on) and like most animals. But I most identify with cats. Less for their attitude (which I do like), but for their unabashed hedonism. I'm so with them on that.
LOL love the Cat Scan!!
ReplyDeletePurrrrfect post, Ron! I'm a fairly recent cat convert-- I have really strong felines for them!
ReplyDeleteI used to feed the strays around my old neighborhood to scare off the vermin and I grew really fond of them. (the cats, not the vermin!) Such fascinating creatures and I love the images and video you picked for this post. Now stop pussyfooting around and have a great weekend, buddy!
These are too funny!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Valerie~
ReplyDelete"I loved the cat on the counter and the one trying to rip the couch to bits.
Aren't they HILARIOUS???? I searched and searched all week for cat cartoons with sarcastic humor and narrowed them down to these five.
"You finished off my cat tales a treat with it."
Yes, in fact, yesterday when I read your final cat post I almost mentioned that I was going to post this today!
Do check out Simon's Cat because I think you would LOVED it. The man who creates these animated cartoons is from the UK and he's BRILLIANT!
"Oh my, what's with the word verification. Trying a third time to try and read the code."
I think what happened is that you typed in a URL link (Simon's Cat) within your comment, and Disqus will sometimes think it's spam, so they automatically place in word verification as a filter. They do that as a protection device I think. Sorry for the hassle because I HATE word verification.
Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady. Have a Meeeeow of a weekend!
X
Hey there Secret Agent Woman~
ReplyDeleteDon't you just LOVE Simon's Cat? The gentleman who creates these animated cartoons is BRILLIANT! I love how he captures such amazing detail of what it's like to be a cat!
Thank you sooooooo much for sharing that video, it was faaaaaabulous! Love the part about the 'whipped cream' in the bathroom - HA!
" But I most identify with cats. Less for their attitude (which I do like), but for their unabashed hedonism. I'm so with them on that."
AMEN!
Like you, we were raised not only with dogs and cats, but also MANY other pets. My mother is such an animal lover, so our house looked like small ZOO!!!
Always great seeing ya! Thanks a bunch for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
X
Good morning Pearl~
ReplyDelete" love the Cat Scan!!"

ReplyDelete"I'm a fairly recent cat convert-- I have really strong felines for them!"
Bwhaahahahahahahaha! OMG...that was BRILLIANTLY clever, man!
Yes, I remember you mentioning in one of your posts that you've recently become a cat lover. Aren't they amazing and fascinating little creatures? And yes, they're great for scaring off the vermin. Like, bugs, mice, etc. I also admire their independence.
"Now stop pussyfooting around and have a great weekend, buddy!"
HA!
Thanks a bunch for stopping by, buddy. Have a MEOW of a weekend!

Ron, I so enjoyed this post! These cartoons are hilarious! The cat scan made me laugh so hard. I showed it to one of the ladies I worked with who is such a cat lover. The video is so cute too. I'll have to check out more of Simon's Cat this weekend.
ReplyDeleteFun post. Have a wonderful meow weekend, Ron.
I didn't know there were cats in the blue flame club! And the cat scan made me laugh outloud. Thank you for the early morning kitty laughs!
ReplyDeleteHey there Katherine~

Yes, that seems to be everyone's favorite! Isn't it hysterical???
I discovered Simon's Cat last year and fell in love with it! If you have time this weekend, check out his You Tube Channel because he's got A LOT of great videos! The guy is brilliant!
Thanks so much for stopping by, girl. Have a MEOW of a weekend!
X
"I'm a fucking cat. I don't gotta explain shit!"
ReplyDeleteSeriously hilarious, Ron! As well is the cat scan.
I've never seen Simon's Cat, but it's the most accurate depiction of felines. Great animation. I've got to check out more of the channel because I'm a big cat person. Meow!
Hiya Matt!
ReplyDelete"I'm a fucking cat. I don't gotta explain shit!"
I thought the same thing! Isn't it soooooooo typical of a cat???

Awesome! I love pussy pics.
ReplyDeleteWait...what?!
Seriously, as a cat owner I do appreciate feline humor, and let's face it...these cartoons are all spot on. Love the revenge of the declawed cat especially. Have a purr-fectly wonderful weekend, Ron!
Number two really made me laugh! I have all of Simon's cat videos on my iPhone. I think they are great!
ReplyDeleteHiya Babs~
ReplyDeleteIsn't the second one hilarious? And SO typical of a cat!!!!
"I have all of Simon's cat videos on my iPhone. I think they are great!"

Just wanted to stop back real quick and tell you that I checked out Simon's Cats on You Tube. You're right, genius! I'm going watch more this weekend!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaaaaaaay! Glad you checked it out and enjoyed it! He adds more and more each month.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping back, Matt!
I love cats and their "I don't give a fuck" attitudes!!
ReplyDeletePS: Simon the cat is one of my all time favorites!
PPS: Have you ever seen this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q34z5dCmC4M
HILARIOUS!
Cats! Those wonderful wonderful stuck up felines. I love them. They remind me of me, a snob who is constipated. Someone who has an attitude and does not give a shit. I love they way they will not eat because they just do not like the way the food looks. They will walk around with the tail in the air and wait until the 2nd coming for the correct morsel of cat food. With my cat it was always the most expensive can on the shelf. Yea, no food stamps for this bitch. I loved her even more becaused I envied her style and her life. She would not budge from the window sill untill all the sun was gone. Then she would lick herself yawn stretch and saunter away. Or maybe that was my ex-wife. Ron, I love all the cartoons you have posted you made me smile unCATagoricly.
ReplyDeleteHave a PURRRfect day.
CAM~MAN~DO
I make no bones about not being a lover of cats. They, however, appear to latch on to me DESPITE efforts to get them out of my space. Apparently it's my standoffishness that evokes their desire to WIN? Who knows. I do know they're haughty, sarcastic, egocentric and JUST like me. LOL Which is why I think we don't quite get a long.
ReplyDeleteThe universe revolves are ME! Duh!!
Damn cats.
And the only reason I like the funnies shared here is cuz they're accurate in their presentation. Haughty, egocentric, sarcastic little boogers.....
Ummm....hello? I'm a fucking cat and I don't have to explain shit??!
Uh huh.........here, kittykittykitty.......lemme 'splain somethin' to ya......
:-/
LOLOLOLOL
Awesome! I love pussy pics. Wait...what?! Seriously, as a cat owner I do appreciate feline humor, and let's face it...these cartoons are all spot on. Love the revenge of the declawed cat especially. Have a purr-fectly wonderful weekend, Ron!
ReplyDeleteI used to be exclusively a dog person until my roommate adopted a cat from the Humane Society. I found it amusing how the cat ended up becoming more attached to me rather than my roommate. Well, let's just say that within a month, I ended up falling in love with the damn cat and became a cat person!
ReplyDeleteGreat cat cartoons, Ron! The 'cat scan' is too damn funny! The video is too!
Meow!
Hey there Meleah~
ReplyDeleteYes!!!!! Thank you! One of my other readers left the same video clip link in her comment too! Freakin' HILARIOUS!!!!!
"I love cats and their "I don't give a fuck" attitudes!!"
You said it, girl! I LOVE their "I don't give a fuck" attitudes! I also love their independence and their ability to adapt quickly to changes. They sorta morph into whatever is around them.
"PS: Simon the cat is one of my all time favorites!"
Meeeeeeeeeeee too! The guy who created them is a genius!
Thanks so much for stopping by, Meleah! Have a purrrfect weekend!

Bwhahahahahahahahhah! Aren't they the most finicky eaters? They would sooner STARVE to death than eat something they don't like.
"I loved her even more becaused I envied her style and her life. She would not budge from the window sill untill all the sun was gone. Then she would lick herself yawn stretch and saunter away. Or maybe that was my ex-wife."

Hey there Robert~
ReplyDelete" I found it amusing how the cat ended up becoming more attached to me rather than my roommate. Well, let's just say that within a month, I ended up falling in love with the damn cat and became a cat person!"
HA! The same thing happened to my father. He did not want my mother to get a cat because he couldn't stand them. Well...that cat and he ended up being the BEST of friends. In fact, when my father was very sick with cancer, that cat never left his side.
Glad you enjoyed the cartoons and video, buddy. I had so much fun putting this post together - Meow!
Have a terrific weekend!

Hellooooooooooooo Mel~
ReplyDelete". They, however, appear to latch on to me DESPITE efforts to get them out of my space. Apparently it's my standoffishness that evokes their desire to WIN?"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Isn't it hilarious how cats do that? They seem to always go to the person who feels indifferent about them.
"I do know they're haughty, sarcastic, egocentric and JUST like me. LOL Which is why I think we don't quite get a long.
The universe revolves are ME! Duh!!"

ReplyDeleteHey there V Girl~
ReplyDelete" i love the cat on the phone - even though i hate the phone."
I hate the phone too! But isn't that cartoon freakin' HILARIOUS? I love the fish inside the martini glass - HAHAHAHHAHAHA!
" imagine if that's what our pets did when we left the house. got on the phone with their other cat friends to talk about their owners. that would be funny!"
Yes, that would be VERY funny! I always wanted to put a video camera in my apartment after I left for work, just to see what my two cats did while I was gone!
Thanks so much for stopping by, Val! Have a purrr-fect weekend!
Meow.....X
Yes Sir a cat is definitely a sarcastic type being, what is it they say, something like you don't own a cat it owns you, or Dogs have owners, Cats have staff, that's it Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteWe have been part of the staff in the past.
Fun Post Buddy!
these are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteand so truly cat
I too appreciate their sarcasm and snark

Hellooooooooo Lady Dianne~
ReplyDeleteTee, hee.....I had a feeling you would appreciate these! Aren't they purr-fect for a cat?

Thanks a bunch for stopping by, dear lady! Have a FABU weekend!
Meow and X to you, Hope, Siren and Isadora!
hahaha... I love Simon's Cat. It's one of my favourite things to watch on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteI am rather afraid of dogs... even cute little puppies. But cats, I love except when they claw me.
The Cat Scan fooled me !
If you need a cat fix, check out oscci.com
It's got a great collection of furry felines !
Good morning Jaffer~
ReplyDeleteOMG...I can't thank you enough for sharing that link! It's faaaaaaaaabulous! When I have more time this evening, I'm going to check it out further.
Isn't Simon's Cat the BOMB? The guy who creates these animated cartoons is beyond brilliant. I love his attention to all the detail!
"I am rather afraid of dogs... even cute little puppies. But cats, I love except when they claw me."
OUCH! I know, when then claw you...it HURTS.
Every cat I've ever had I just didn't have the heart to declaw them (from using my couch as a scratching post) because I think it messes with their psyche.
"The Cat Scan fooled me !"
HA! Isn't that hysterical?
Thanks for stopping by, buddy! Have a great weekend!
X
I hope you have a purrrfect weekend, too!

As a former cat owner of longstanding, I did enjoy this post. I have learned down through the years that cats are gods and it behooves the one owned by a cat/god to do that cat/god's bidding, because the alternative usually involves a certain amount of psychological or perhaps even physical pain.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by our blog, Ron. Where in Florida did you live?
Hey there Jacob~
ReplyDelete"I have learned down through the years that cats are gods and it behooves the one owned by a cat/god to do that cat/god's bidding, because the alternative usually involves a certain amount of psychological or perhaps even physical pain."
Bwhahahahahahahahahaha! Hilarious and so TRUE!!!!
Don't ya just love cat's/god's????
I lived in Boca Raton for five years and then ten years in Orlando. I really enjoyed my time in Florida, but the heat and humidity started to get to me when I hit about 45 years old. I moved back to the north east (Philadelphia) about 11 years ago.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Jacob. I really enjoyed your photos!
Have a great weekend!
Hahahahhahaha! I don't gotta explain shit. Now, THAT is a cat. These are too funny. I miss my cat. She was amazing and funny. I haven't had the heart to get another. I got a little dog and we call her a cat. She doesn't bark. Ever. And likes to curl up at the top of the chair. It's pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteHahahahhahaha! I don't gotta explain shit. Now, THAT is a cat. These are too funny. I miss my cat. She was amazing and funny. I haven't had the heart to get another. ReplyDeleteHey there Angelia~
ReplyDelete" I don't gotta explain shit. Now, THAT is a cat."
HA! Ain't that the TRUTH????
" I miss my cat. She was amazing and funny. I haven't had the heart to get another."
Me too. I used to have two (mother and son) but lost them about year apart of each other. One of these days I DO want to get another cats because they make the best roommates for me.
"I got a little dog and we call her a cat. She doesn't bark. Ever. And likes to curl up at the top of the chair. It's pretty funny."
Oh, how CUTE! Isn't funny how some cats will act more like dogs, and some dogs will act more like cats?
Thanks for stopping by, Angelia. Hope you're having a super weekend!

Hi Ronnie,
ReplyDeleteYou really have a GREAT assortment of cat funnies!! How hilarious for the cat with the fish martini & cell phone!! I loved the cat scan too :).
I have lived into a dog lover's home; Dad could not stand the sight of a cat and I lived a greater part of my life without knowing about that. But, having married into a family of animal lovers( my-inlaws both loved cats), I learned to know and love them.
I love the cat's body language and his direct communication through the eyes. It turns out that cats usually like me a lot, like my neighbor's cat who comes in our garden to get pampered.
One day in the future we will adopt a cat, preferably a shelter cat that needs a loving home.
Happy evening and see you tomorrow online. xox
Bonjour Barb~
ReplyDelete" How hilarious for the cat with the fish martini & cell phone!! I loved the cat scan too :)."
Aren't those HILARIOUS???? I LOVE the fish martini, it's so CUTE!
" But, having married into a family of animal lovers( my-inlaws both loved cats), I learned to know and love them."
My father also, was NOT a cat person until my mother actually got one and then he fell in LOVE with cats.
"To have a cat is to know a cat."
You have to have one in order to truly appreciate them. Many people feel that a cat is less like a human, but I find that they're actually more like a human than we realize.
"I love the cat's body language and his direct communication through the eyes."
Yes! Yes! You said it purr-fectly! Body language and eye contact.
"It turns out that cats usually like me a lot, like my neighbor's cat who comes in our garden to get pampered."
Isn't it funny how cats can tell if you like them without even saying a word?
"One day in the future we will adopt a cat, preferably a shelter cat that needs a loving home."
Me too, Barb. All the cats I've ever had were from shelters and they were the BEST cats.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by, my friend. Always Meow to see ya! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
X to you and D!
:) hi sweets! great post as always...cats are weird little queens and I prefer doggies. surprised? :)
ReplyDeletethanks for leaving me little gifts. I am feeling better!!
xxxxxxxx
Greetings Dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteIt's soooooooooo great to see you because you've been on my mind the past couple of days; wondering how you were.
"cats are weird little queens and I prefer doggies. surprised? :)"
HA! No, I'm not surprised at all having precious Bella! She's a lovable and sweet doggie!
"thanks for leaving me little gifts. I am feeling better!!"
You are sooooooo welcome! Glad to hear you're feeling better!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Yeah...those cartoons are totally Mark's cat. It's a good thing she's so darn cute.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend was awesome, Ron!
Hey there Tara~
ReplyDelete"Yeah...those cartoons are totally Mark's cat. It's a good thing she's so darn cute."
Bwhahahahahahhahaha! I know what you mean. I think most cats HOPE that their cuteness overrides their sarcasm :)
Thanks a bunch for stopping by, girl. Yes, my weekend was faaaaaabulous! Hope yours was too!
X
P.S. Hope your first week on the new job was awesome!
Hilarious toons! But I must take umbrage on your stance on cats. Our cat loves to be around us, spoons with us, loves to have her belly stroked, and sticks to us like glue when we're sick (it's weird, but she knows when we're ill). The only thing she asks from us in return is that we worship the ground she sheds on, and feed her treats whenever she demands....
ReplyDelete....hey wait a second. Perhaps she is a jerk cat.
Hey there Herman~
ReplyDelete"and sticks to us like glue when we're sick (it's weird, but she knows when we're ill)."
Yes! I had a cat (Jerry) who was the same way. VERY affectionate, spooned with me when I slept, and also stuck to me like glue whenever I was sick. Cats are great little healers and can tell when your sick.
"The only thing she asks from us in return is that we worship the ground she sheds on, and feed her treats whenever she demands....
....hey wait a second. Perhaps she is a jerk cat."
Bwhahahahahahahahahaha! See! What did I tell ya!
Regardless of their attitude...I ADORE cats!
Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Hope you and the family had an awesome weekend!
X to you, Karin, and Mr. Tyler!
Cats always look like they're hiding something from us, don't they? They also seem to see stuff when nothing is there. I think that they're cute, lazy, cunning and mysterious :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, I like simon's cat, its so cute!
And btw, I've given you a link from my blog.
These made me laugh because they are so true. Thanks for sharing. Love to get a giggle with my morning coffee.
ReplyDeleteHey Jen~
ReplyDeleteTee, hee....aren't these SOOOOOO much like a cat????
I just couldn't resist!
Meow!

Hey there Abu~
ReplyDelete"Cats always look like they're hiding something from us, don't they? They also seem to see stuff when nothing is there."
Yes...they sure do! They always look as though they hold some great and mysterious secret of life - HA!
I find that you can learn a lot through observing cats. Things like patience, calmness, and intuition. Cats are very intuitive.
Isn't Simon's Cat the BEST? The guy who creates these cartoons is pure GENIUS!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
P.S. Thank you for the link. I will place you on my blog roll this week too!
We had both cats and dogs growing up. When I was young, I preferred cats. Now, I prefer dogs. Maybe reGreta's attitude just soured me a bit? LOL She's been our least friendly cat, I think. And probably our last one. I do love animals but they are alot of work and do make many messes too. The dog hair around our house lately is insane. If they can be taught to fetch and roll over and shake hands and all that... is vacuuming a possibility?? LOL
ReplyDeleteLOVED the counter cartoon. It's going on my FB page right now! ;)
Hiya Mary~
ReplyDelete"Maybe reGreta's attitude just soured me a bit? LOL She's been our least friendly cat, I think."
I had a cat like too - Zoe. Very aloof and distant. Now, Jerry, on the other hand was a sweetheart. Lovable, affectionate, and so loyal to me. God, I miss that cat.
"I do love animals but they are alot of work and do make many messes too. The dog hair around our house lately is insane. If they can be taught to fetch and roll over and shake hands and all that... is vacuuming a possibility?? LOL "
HA! But you're right, animals are a lot of work. Yet, their unconditional love makes it soooooo worth it.
"LOVED the counter cartoon. It's going on my FB page right now! ;)"
Isn't that cartoon FLAWLESS???? I just about DIED LAUGHING when I saw it! And so true of a cat!
