When you think of the fall and winter seasons, you image colors that induce warmth.

Shades of gold, brown, red, orange and yellow.

Fall and winter are my two favorite seasons.

And do you know why?

Fall and winter are weightier and slower-moving seasons. And I, being the astrological sign of Libra, which is an air sign; having a tendency to be all over the place like the wind, find that I feel more grounded and relaxed during fall and winter because they contain the polarity of my personality. So they compliment me; promoting balance. And I also feel more connected to nature during these two season.

Where most people feel like hibernating during fall and winter, I actually feel like being outside because not only do I feel calmer and more social, but I also feel more creative and focused.

And believe it or not, summer is when I feel the most lethargic, unfocused and unmotivated. Summertime actually grates on my nerves.

Yeah, I know…I’m weird.

Anyway, over the past five months, I’ve been out and about snapping photographs during my two favorite seasons, and thought that I would put together a post of images containing colors of warmth.

Please enjoy…

1) An interior design store widow in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia

2) Inside one of the walkways through City Hall

3) Aero Memorial to World War I Aviators

4) A bridal store window on 13th Street (Love that center wedding gown!)

5) Looking through the window of a cafe' in Old City

6) A home furnishing store on Pine Street

7) Two weeks ago, I went to the opera and took this shot inside the Academy Of Music on Broad Street

*this opera house was the one used in the movie, The Age Of Innocence.

8) The HUGE crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling

9) I took this shot while lying my camera on the cement wall. It is a view down Locust Street, off Rittenhouse Square.

Thanks a bunch for taking this little tour through my photographs in warm colors.

Happy Monday!
