My inspiration for this post came from my dear, longtime blogging friend, Debbie @ Musings by an ND Domer's Mom, who is not only a gifted...
Whenever I hear the term Flower Power, I immediately have a psychedelic flashback to the 1960's and think of a Volkswagen Beetle or van decorated in daisies and peace signs.
Kind of like this...
Back then, I had daisy stickers stuck on my school book covers, my bathtub floor, and all over my bedroom. I also had a few Peter Max posters, inflatable furniture, shag carpet, and beaded curtains on my bedroom door, all of which were very popular in the '60's. Oh, and I also burned strawberry incense sticks while running all over the house chanting, "Make love, not war...make love, not war!"
And I can still remember my mother rolling her eyes and saying, "Ronnie...do you even know what that means?"
"No, but everyone else is saying it."
Even though I was rather young during the '60's, I was a want-a-be hippie child and longed for the day when I could wear pink bell-bottom pants, a suede vest, and daisies in my afro...
Anyhow, the reason I'm sharing all this is because it's spring and flowers seem to be blossoming everywhere. Therefore, I decided to share a celebratory blog post about Flower Power because it's true, flowers do have the power to make you smile, feel good, and bring a sense of peace.
So, please enjoy the power of flowers...

I leave you with one last photo (which I found online) that totally depicts the Flower Power of the '60's.
A Volkswagen Beetle, covered in flowers...
Have a FAB Monday, y'all!
Peace and love.
