My inspiration for this post came from my dear, longtime blogging friend, Debbie @ Musings by an ND Domer's Mom, who is not only a gifted...
So, here's my story...
Tuesday afternoon I decided to take a long walk over to the Fairmount area of Philadelphia, which is also known as the "art museum area" because of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Rodin Museum, The Barnes Foundation Museum and The Franklin Institute.
After having some lunch at a cafe, I took my camera and walked through all the different sections in Fairmount and snapped about 58 pictures. Fairmount is such a charming area of Philadelphia that you could take pictures for hours and still not get enough.
As I was strolling down one of the neighborhood streets, an elderly gentleman just so happened to walk past and saw me taking pictures. He stopped and said, “If you’re interested, there is a cute little park at the end of this street. You might get some nice photographs.”
I thanked him and decided that I would definitely take a look at the park because I like investigating interesting spots I've never seen before.
And we was right, it was a cute little park. Here I am peeking through the fence...
It was such a nice cool fall day, that I decided to sit down on this bench and just enjoy my surroundings.
After about 20 minutes, I opted to leave and do some more walking. However, when I stood up and looked down at the bench, this is what I saw...
What an appropriate name. Because if you take the "E" off Coxe, it pretty much sums up this park.
Cox.
“If you’re interested, there is a cute little park at the end of this street. You might get some nice photographs.”
Um...yes, thank you...I DID. And also got a blog post out of it.

I spotted what appeared to be a statue of Benjamin Franklin.
And getting a closer look, it was Benjamin Franklin with his kite.

Penis art.
It looks like a Picasso, don't you think?
It looks like a Picasso, don't you think?
And if you look to the right, you will also see another tiny penis. So I guess I accidentally sat on two penises that day and never felt a thing!
And to make this even more ironic, as I was leaving the park I spotted this sign on a brick wall...
