My inspiration for this post came from my dear, longtime blogging friend, Debbie @ Musings by an ND Domer's Mom, who is not only a gifted...
As I shared before, my brother Tom had never been to New York City so he was anxious to see A LOT. And let me tell you, I had so much fun taking him all over the city. There were certain things he wanted to see on his first trip to the Big Apple, which we did, however he saw even more than he imagined in those three days. Poor guy, I walked his ass off every single day. But I have to say, he was in great shape, so he was able to keep up and never complained. He only asked to take a cab twice while we were there.
Oh, and I also took him on his first New York subway ride, which he really enjoyed.
Anyway, today I would like to share a potpourri of pictures from various days in the city. I'll start with Central Park (pictured above).
To me, there is nothing quite like Central Park in early Fall as the leaves begin to change. In the middle of the concrete jungle known as Manhattan, it's a pretty amazing experience to walk through this massive park and be surrounded by such beautiful nature. You almost forget that you're in a city.
While in Central Park, we walked to one of my favorite areas, Bethesda Terrace, which ended up being my brothers favorite area as well. He just loved it!
A park musician (this guy was AWESOME)....
A park entertainer (making bubbles)...
We also visited Grand Central Station...
No matter what time of day, Grand Central is always bustling...
One day we visited Bryant Park Grill in Bryant Park.
Isn't it lovely?....
For mid-October, the weather was actually quite warm the days we were in New York City. Here are some people sunning themselves during lunch hour...
SoHo, Manhattan...

...MARGE SIMPSON!!!!
She was just sitting there on a bench in front of a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown and suddenly asked if I would like to join her. She even offered to take a picture with me. I think she had the hots for me because you can't see it in this photograph, but she had her right hand on my left thigh. Look at her face, she looks so turned-on, doesn't she?
Have a faaaabulous weekend everyone!

*more on New York City later...
