My inspiration for this post came from my dear, longtime blogging friend, Debbie @ Musings by an ND Domer's Mom, who is not only a gifted...
Morgan Freeman needs no introduction because, well, let's face it, he is not only known for his outstanding film acting, but his voice is one that whenever you hear it, you most definitely know who it is.
He's got one of those voices that is deep, rich, and smooth. It goes right to your soul.
His voice alone deserves a star 🟊 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
My favorite Morgan Freeman voiceover work is in the film, March of the Penguins.
And my favorite films are: Driving Miss Daisy and Shawshank Redemption.
But besides his film and voiceover work, I thoroughly enjoy watching him being interviewed; sharing his thoughts and feelings about life and what it's taught him.
I tend to agree with his perceptions and opinions on so many topics.
What I admire most about this man is that he is not afraid to speak his truth. And he does it in a way that is gracious yet direct. You can see it in his eyes that he says what he means and means what he says.
And what he says comes from a place of knowing it within himself.
Recently, I found a short video clip on YouTube in which Freeman spoke about listening to and trusting your inner voice.
My Inner Voice-
I've been in touch with my own inner voice since I was a child. Of course, back then, I didn't really know what "inner voice" meant. I just knew it was there; guiding and directing my life. And more so than hearing the voice, I felt it.
In my gut.
I believe in intuition. And I believe we are all intuitive. It's just a matter of listening to that voice, trusting it, and acting upon it.
For me, I learned to trust my inner voice from the many times I didn't trust it and wished I had.
Sometimes it's a loud voice. Other times it's quiet and stays in the background; nudging me to pay attention and to notice how I feel.
My intuition is always correct, even though sometimes when I follow it, it may not be a direct route. It will sometimes take me down several paths and change direction. But it is always correct.
I guess you could say that for me, my inner voice and intuition are married. They work as one.
Do I ever question my inner voice? Yes, of course I do. I'm human. But the longer I live, the less I question it. And the more I rely on it.
I believe, as Freeman does. Vibes don't lie...
I leave you with the short video clip I found on YouTube, in which Freeman shares about "The Voice"...
Have a grrrrrreat rest of your week, everyone! 💗
*How about you? Do you trust your inner voice?
