Okay peeps, here it goes….the finale of All Creatures Great and Small!

Once again, allow me to thank you for all the AWESOME animal photo submissions.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Now before I share your photos, I have a quick story to tell you.

For the past week, I’ve been wondering what photo I was going to use for the opening of this post. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to use a picture off the Internet, or a photo of my own.

Well…

…two days ago, I was sitting in my favorite park sipping a tall Starbucks coffee and eating a granola bar, when all of a sudden I looked down at my feet and saw a squirrel just staring at me. As most of you already know, I ADORE squirrels. In fact, I adore them so much that I would love to pick them off the ground, and kiss and hug them.

However, I haven’t ever tried that yet because I don’t fancy having my eyes scratched out and my lips bitten off, and then rushing myself to Jefferson Memorial Hospital; trying to explain to the ER nurse that I got this way from KISSING a squirrel.

I think the thing I most LOVE about squirrels (beside the fact that they’re so damn cute), is that they have no problem asking for what they want. The squirrels here in the city are very people-friendly and have no fear. They will hop and scurry right up to you, stand on their hind legs and telepathically say, “Oh, please, please….do you have any nuts, cookies, crackers, fruit, or chicken dinner leftovers? I’ll take anything, ANYTHING!”

So, what do you think I did because I just couldn't resist?

Yup….I shared my granola bar with the squirrel you see in the photo.

And as gratitude, he came up close and allowed me to take his picture.

God love him!

Anyway folks, permit me to share the remainder of your photos with great pride and pleasure.
