It's been EONS since I shared a meme. In fact, I think in the entire 14 years that I've had this blog, I probably posted, maybe, two memes? I've never been a big meme-fan, however, I liked the 13 questions asked on this one, so I decided to post them.

I found these questions on a blog that I recently started following through the blog of one of my longtime blogging friends, Bijoux @ Bytes From The Burbs. The blog is called, Seaside Simplicity, which just so happens to be published by a fellow-Floridian. Her name is Martha and she's a delight. I instantly liked the vibe of her blog because she has a very strong community in which she is very involved. She's old-school blogging, which I love. If you get a chance, stop by her place and say hello.

Here are the 13 questions and my answers.

Hope you enjoy.

1. Morning or Night - Being that I'm a vampire, night is my favorite. However, I must say that over the past 3-4 years, I've gotten to really enjoy and appreciate early morning because I love the peace and quiet. On laundry day, I usually get up around 5:30 AM, make myself a cup of coffee, and then head downstairs to the laundry room. I'm usually the only tenant down there, so I can get two loads of laundry done in a little over an hour.

2. Coffee or Tea - Both. Coffee in the morning (black), and then either iced or hot green tea with spearmint in the afternoon, depending on the season.

3. Text or Call - Call, particularly if I'm going to have a conversation with someone. Texting definitely has its perks, such as using it for quick questions and responses. But that's it.

4. Small town or Big city - I think most of you already know my answer. I was born a city person. Where most people find the energy of a big city overwhelming, I find it invigorating and oddly enough, centering. I've lived in both New York City and Philadelphia. Even though Philly is the sixth largest city in the U.S., I personally don't consider it a "big" city. To me, it's more like a town, which is why I prefer New York - it's MASSIVE. One of the major things I like about living in a city is not needing a car. Yes, city apartment rentals can be pricier than in a small town, but I still save money because I don't have to fork it out for car payments, insurance, inspection, gas, and automobile upkeep. You don't realize how much money a car can eat until you don't have one. Having a car always felt like a monkey on my back. I thoroughly enjoy walking to where I need to go or taking public transportation whenever I need it. When you live in a city, that just naturally becomes a way of life.

5.Beer or Wine - Vino. And only a dry, full-bodied red. But I must admit, I do enjoy the smell of beer.

6. Messy or Tidy - I'm a Libra with a Virgo rising, so I would have to say anal-retentive tidy. Clutter of any kind makes me feel like I can't breathe. I've always lived in small studio apartments because they take no time at all to clean and keep tidy. I'm a minimalist, so a small space is perfect for me.

7. Introvert or Extrovert - I am most definitely an introvert, yet most people automatically assume I'm an extrovert. I like being around people at my job and being surrounded by people living in a city. However, in order to reenergize and regroup, I need my solitude, and that defines an introvert. I enjoy my own company. I love to spend time alone, taking long walks or sitting in a park under a tree just being quiet and reflective.

8. Cats or Dogs - I adore both for different reasons. Throughout my life, I've had dogs and cats (and many other animals) as pets because my beloved mother taught us to respect and enjoy all creatures. But I would have to say that as a "roommate", I migrate more towards a cat because they not only mellow me, but I like that they're low-maintenance and independent. One of my favorite things to do with a cat is to snuggle up and take a nap. I love to hear them purr. It instantly relaxes me.

9. English or Math - English. OMG, I hated Math in school. The closest I came to passing Math class was a D. But, most of the time it was an F. The only thing I wanted to know when learning Math were the basics - how to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and balance a checkbook. But other than that, I had no interest in algebra, geometry or calculus. Ewwwwwww!

10. Sweet or Savory - Savory. But I have to say that sometimes I like the two together, such as salty popcorn drizzled with dark chocolate. Yum-my!

11. Beach or Mountains - That's a hard call for me because I enjoy both. I used to live 2 1/2 miles from the beach in Boca, Florida and loved it. However, living back in the Northeast again, I have to say that I adore being close to the mountains (Upstate PA and NY). If someday I ever tire of city life, my ideal spot would be someplace like New England, Maine because you have both water and mountains. And being that my two favorite seasons are Autumn and Winter, a place like Maine would be ideal for me.

12. Predictability or Excitement - I'm the type of person who when taking a trip somewhere will plan it out with just a basic outline. And then once I get to my destination, I allow it to take me where I need to go. And this is why I don't like "tour group" vacations. I find them so boring. I'd much rather get there and travel free-style. I enjoy the excitement of allowing an experience to unravel before me. Some of my most memorable experiences have been by not knowing exactly where I'm going.

So, I would choose excitement rather than predictability.

13. Time machine or Magic wand - A  magic wand. Because if I had a magic wand, I could use it to not only manifest all sorts of things, but I could also use it to time travel, so I wouldn't need a time machine.
