My inspiration for this post came from my dear, longtime blogging friend, Debbie @ Musings by an ND Domer's Mom, who is not only a gifted...
Talent excites me.
And it excites me for two reasons. It genuinely makes me so happy to witness someone else’s talent. And it also inspires something within me to tap into my own talents; learning, growing and expanding.
Creative energy is contagious.
Therefore whenever I stumble upon talent, I can’t help but want to share it with others, as I am today.
Last week I happened to discover the work of Canadian photographer, Irene Suchocki, over at Pinterest.
And when I landed on her page, the photographs literally took my breath away because they were a magical fusion of a photograph and a painting. I probably spent over 45 minutes viewing her photographs; not only on Pinterest, but also perusing Irene’s online shops. In fact, I admired her photographs so much that I created a board specifically for her on my own Pinterest page.
Here is an excerpt from Irene’s bio to give you an idea of what her photography is all about:
“In my photography I combine my love of travel and nature with a dreamlike aesthetic to create visual poems that evoke a sense of magic, delight, nostalgia and romance. I love great cities and have traveled to iconic places like Paris, New York, Venice and London. Through my photography I strive to communicate the sense of magic, delight, nostalgia and joy that I feel when I photograph a place or subject. I like to consider each of my photographs a little poem for the eyes.”
And that’s exactly what her photographs are…a poem for the eyes.
Her photographs lure you within the dreamlike images; allowing you to experience the dream for yourself.
I immediately contacted Irene to ask her if it would be okay to share her photographs on my blog and she graciously consented. Thank you, Irene!
Now I have to admit, I had a hard time picking these photographs because she has so many awesome ones to choose from. I had intended to share 10, but ended up sharing 12 because I couldn't narrow them down.
It is with great pride and excitement that I share with you the unique eye of Irene Suchocki.
And I have to say something about Canada. I have seen some of the most phenomenal talent come out of that country. Canada seems to birth and nurture a lot of creative energy.
Please enjoy these beautiful, poetic images. And dream...
