Talent excites me.

And it excites me for two reasons. It genuinely makes me so happy to witness someone else’s talent. And it also inspires something within me to tap into my own talents; learning, growing and expanding.

Creative energy is contagious.

Therefore whenever I stumble upon talent, I can’t help but want to share it with others, as I am today.

Last week I happened to discover the work of Canadian photographer, Irene Suchocki, over at Pinterest.

And when I landed on her page, the photographs literally took my breath away because they were a magical fusion of a photograph and a painting. I probably spent over 45 minutes viewing her photographs; not only on Pinterest, but also perusing Irene’s online shops. In fact, I admired her photographs so much that I created a board specifically for her on my own Pinterest page.

Here is an excerpt from Irene’s bio to give you an idea of what her photography is all about:

“In my photography I combine my love of travel and nature with a dreamlike aesthetic to create visual poems that evoke a sense of magic, delight, nostalgia and romance. I love great cities and have traveled to iconic places like Paris, New York, Venice and London. Through my photography I strive to communicate the sense of magic, delight, nostalgia and joy that I feel when I photograph a place or subject. I like to consider each of my photographs a little poem for the eyes.”

And that’s exactly what her photographs are…a poem for the eyes.

Her photographs lure you within the dreamlike images; allowing you to experience the dream for yourself.

I immediately contacted Irene to ask her if it would be okay to share her photographs on my blog and she graciously consented. Thank you, Irene!

Now I have to admit, I had a hard time picking these photographs because she has so many awesome ones to choose from. I had intended to share 10, but ended up sharing 12 because I couldn't narrow them down.

It is with great pride and excitement that I share with you the unique eye of Irene Suchocki.

And I have to say something about Canada. I have seen some of the most phenomenal talent come out of that country. Canada seems to birth and nurture a lot of creative energy.

Please enjoy these beautiful, poetic images. And dream...

 1) London, England
 2) Horses in fog, Iceland
 3) Iceland
 4) Paris, France
 5) London, England
 6) Savannah, Georgia
 7) Paris, France
 8) New York City
 9) Italy
10) Iceland
11) Spinning Wheel - Santa Cruz, California
12) Jackson Square, New Orleans

Happy Monday, y'all!

  1. OMG where do I start. Loved these photographs, especially the London doorway (you might know) and the New York picture, and the roundabout that took my breath away, and the perspective of Italy etc etc. See my problem? I can't choose! Irene is an amazing photographer and I thank you for sharing her work.

You have a Pinterest page? I tried it, got in a mess, and gave up.

Happy Monday, and the rest of the week xx

Yes, I started a Pinterest page about 3 months ago and love it! I'm finding it a wonderful way to discover and share things online. I don't spend a lot of time there, maybe once a week.

  19. Hey there Geraldine!

Aren't they exceptional? Irene has a unique style/eye all her own.

"And thanks for your kind words re: Canada. We do have our moments LOL."

Some of my favorite actors/actress hail from Canada. And also, the movies that I've seen which are made in Canada are awesome. Canada has a wonderful talent pool of creative people.

And yes, the US (and other countries) have talented people as well, I agree. However, I felt the calling to give a shout out to Canada. GO, Canada! :)

"And isn't it nice that thanks to the Internet we can share so much of that talent, wherever we are?"

"There is a lot of emotion within them and each one has a different feeling."

Definitely...there is a lot of emotion within them. The one of the Spinning Wheel is so fun and animated, while the one of the bridge in Paris has a totally different feel/emotion. That's why I love Irene's photographs!

Ha! I felt the same way, I couldn't pick just 10, so I went for 12. And even that was hard.

  61. Hi Ron!
    I'm still laughing!

Passwords are a pain. I keep a hard copy as well but that is not what I use so often forget to update it. I keep a text file with all my user ID's and passwords so it's easy to keep those in alphabetical order - usually by website name or some description I will recognize.

You are so right about the difficulty of the passwords on some sites. I can understand when it is a bank account but for a message board? I don't know about most but there aren't any huge lines of people trying to be me that I know of.

I am the same way about passwords and I too have a little book where supposedly these are all kept and in good order. NOT!!! And I am for the most part a very organized, neat person.

I have several passwords, pin codes...but I recently gave up writing any new or changed ones down. I have a good memory and I can usually conjure up the right one at the right time. If not, they can always send a new one to me. LOL

I'm glad you found a strong password that worked so well. ;-)

And happy you enjoyed my Craigie Ferguson post today. Isn't he just the best? I'm going for a replay and dance around the office now.

And I'm not sure why she's not featured in big places, but she oughta be.
